I wouldn't do ex rocks at random, but its great if you land the shackles as it gives you another hit to extend the combo or time enough to dash in and setup a mix-up, charge your trait or whatever you want to do.
Yeah standing 1, 1, 1 into shackles is a fantastic combo starter. I don't think the last 1 is a cancel into shackles, so in street fighter lingo it would be a link, but it's not hard to do.
The main combo I use when playing Sinestro is 111 xx qcb1, b3, j3 xx (air) qcb1, b12 xx qcf1. It's a 31%, no meter combo.
b1, 3 is pretty good if they're midscreen at you, but it's 13 frames startup and doesn't lead to great damage. Obviously you can't use 111 if they're midscreen at you, but if they're in your face 111 has only a 7 frame startup, which is extremely fast in the game and leads to great combo damage.
His B+2, 1, 3 chain is also very important. Pushes them fullscreen away and starts with an overhead. Crazy.
F+2, D+1, 3 is also a great chain, but a weird input.
Also you can create hard to block scenarios by crossing up with any of his jump attacks then doing the air axe as it should hit them in the front.
Sir...thank you for that F2,D1,3 combo...so good! In the corner it connects with the Super too. Good damage. You're 111...combo is solid. I used it today and then did Shackles into Rocks "loop" (dude just chose not to block, lol). He quit mid "loop", lol.
I ran into about 7-8 Rage Quitters, in a row, yesterday. No one seems to get how Sinestro is supposed to be played. The guys who "got it" were really good players. It really seems like a lot of non Fighting Game players have bought this game...gonna make finding consistently good players hard.
Choji03 is pretty good. Grundy/Bane is still a hard match up for myself...Ribbon, if you're on XBL hit me up "dikrodnum". I could use the session. Want to start learning Kal El soon.
Hesster, don't worry about playing "good" players. Trust me, I'm not very good. But what I can teach you (and anyone who wants to learn) would be a good solid starting step. Just got to want to learn and level up!

Glad I could give you some tips! I am on PSN though, so no go there.
Haha yeah, I run into rage quitters a lot. A lot of people don't understand that the lanterns are designed to play keep away and shoot a lot of projectiles. But of course it is frustrating for them to deal with so they lash out and scream "spam!! spam!!!" instead of trying to improve their own play and find a way around the zoning .

I'm getting to the point that I'm gonna start to play another character online just so I can get more than two matches with someone.
I also am gonna maybe pick up Slade just so people can see what he can do besides just Vergil Sword Spin, lol. That trait is WAY too good in combos. Nobody seems to get just really how nasty Slade can be.
So, I've spent some time in training mode to get better. I've found that I'm pretty decent with Green Arrow and Joker. Not sure which I'm gonna make my "main" guy, but most likely Green Arrow since I just recently started watching his show and have been getting into it. Plus it's funny having him beat Doomsday, lol.
Anyone have any tips on what might be some good Xbox controllers for this game? I've never bought a game controller just for one game, but I've really been getting into this one and my D-pad on my Xbox controller has been acting all "mehh".

Have you ever played on an arcade stick? I would highly recommend it for fighting games, and they're great fun if you play a lot of older arcade games.
I use a Madcatz Tournament Edition, which runs $150. Yes Madcatz used to have a bad reputation for junk controllers, but this uses Sanwa arcade parts and is very reputable.
Wow I just looked on Amazon and the prices for the sticks have gone down a good chunk. You could pay $80 for a better dpad on a razor controller...or $99 for this, http://www.amazon.com/Mad-Catz-Stree...0+arcade+stick
I just read a bunch of bad reviews about the Sabretooth breaking a lot, so I'm a little leery about that one. It's also very pricey too for someone making minimum wage like myself.

I don't like the arcade stick pads. I just want a controller for my Xbox that has a good D-Pad for fighting games, but can be used as a normal controller for other games. But thanks anyhow
Like I said, use that info I posted to sign into the WBID in your Injustice game, then play around for like 10 or 20 minutes so it can read and register your gaming profile to the WBID profile. When you go back to the main menu it should say you unlocked the skins. Then just log out of the WBID (so I can use it for my game).
I hoe that helps you out. Always happy to share with my Realmser buddies!
Is it just me, or are the Star Labs missions crazy hard? I had to skip a few of Batman and Superman's missions just becaue I couldn't nail em. It makes me sad knowing I'll probably never get the super secret Luthor (beat all lab missions) and Flash (get 3 stars on all lab missions) skins.
Am I the only one who thinks some of these are crazy hard?

No, they're painful.
I think it's intentional. Keep the disc in the drive, don't turn it back into GameStop.
