Norym: X-wing last night?

I ended up meeting Dennis at D-head.

I ran a netdecked Han/Gunner/Marksmanship +Headhunters build. His TIE swarm was able to win in the end, after hanging some really crippling crit hit effects on me. I thought I had it in the bag after Ion Pulse Missling two of his TIEs into asteroids.


We both made some humiliating rules/positioning errors though, reminding us we wouldn't cut it a Gencon

I did play last night. There were 8 of us playing last night. Good time were had by all but probably Shakes. He has to stop running 3 Shuttles.

I had the most fun with:

Rexler Brath
Kir Kanos
Night Beast
Academy
Academy

No upgrades etc... I crushed a Han and 2 B's with it.

I also ran:

Wedge
Biggs
Etahn A'Baht

Each had some upgrades. To tell you how this match went, I had a shuttle with 3 hull left and fired Etahn and Biggs into it at range 1 and failed to score a hit. Biggs rolled 4 blanks.

sounds like when I played my Phantom. " I get to roll 5 agility dice!.......oh."

Aside from looking cool, I have seen no compelling reason for me to buy a shuttle, let alone 3.


I would like an E wing, the Wedge X wing, maybe a 2nd Firespray.

CL keeps saying he wants to do that!

To see a reason to play a shuttle watch Matt play one, he knows how to use them.

The E is fun but expensive, I have had a hard time making a successful build with 2. Wedge is necessary, GameOn has one...

The only reason I would get a 2nd Firespray would be to have one painted like Kath Scarlet's.

I've never gone to a huge competitive tournament like a ROC before, so I really don't know what it's like. The closest thing was a Bag of Lemons tournament, which I thought was a lot of fun (made even more fun because I was able to thoroughly rough up a local player who generally always runs cheesy figures in constructed events, thus proving he's not really that great of a player).

Yeah, that last bit was probably not required. That's the kind of posting that I'm trying to not do anymore, although I find that it's really easy to slip into when folks aggravate me. There's no way this post will not be LPC'd.

Inducing labor tomorrow morning at 6 am unless she has to go in earlier. Of course we punctured a tire on the van, and even though we have been prepping for weeks, it seems like we have a crapton of stuff still to do!
