I could have misunderstood, but I'd swear they made an announcement at the beginning of the second qualifier saying that they were done seeking for the day, but there would be some for sale on Sunday.

The level of disorganization and ineptitude that I saw yesterday was pretty astonishing. At more than one point, they had two different people calling names to seat people for the next round AT THE SAME TIME. One up front, one in the back, one starting at the top of the list, one at the bottom. And you could barely hear either from more than 10 feet away. The amount of time that was required to sort that clusterfunk out probably added an hour to the morning qualifier.

The fact that they expanded at least the first pod well beyond the advertised 128 players, and the fact that pods were not self-contained in terms of advancement(meaning that players who weren't undefeated had to play in the afternoon pod to have a shot at qualifying), was beyond aggravating. It basically felt like you were being strong-armed into paying for a second event.

I could have stayed and had a shot at qualifying after the afternoon pod or tried to play in a battle royal or two, but the complete disorganization and feeling that I was being forced at gunpoint to pay/play again was enough to send me on my merry way.

Edit: Thank God I live in the Baltimore area. Had I travelled from far away, I would be furious rather than annoyed.

Looking inside there are no heroclix exclusives left for sale. Just for prizes.

Yeah I was told yesterday that they had none for today and sold out.

Yeah, don't tell the HC community about how bad it is. Let them all spend hundreds on their trip next year, so they can find out firsthand.

Update: Did not make the cut. Not even all 6-2 records made it in. And I was 5-3. The only thing that stings is I had more points than all but 1 of the 6-2 records. Enjoyed it. Proud of myself and now to.some battle royals.

As somebody who gets called a "WK apologist" quite often, I actually think posting info in this thread is a good idea.

Some of the usual assumptions, bad will, and hyperbole are in play of course, but this is a good place to report on the state of things. Being constructive is a better approach than being dismissive, but still good to discuss this somewhere public.

Telling the HC community how it is is one thing. Thinking it will actually do anything to solve the problem if the HC community is told is another.
All discussions like this serve to do is turn people against the company, not fix things with the company.

But if the intent is to create more bad blood and derision between the community and WK, then have at it.

I'd rather hear about who played what and how people did.

It's one thing to communicate about your experience, it's quite another to complain constantly, and go ON....and ON....and ON...and On....and On....and...on... About stuff we all know already.

I saw a bumper sticker on a car a few weeks ago. It said:

"Quite 'yer ####'ing...Start a revolution."

I like that.

If someone REALLY has a problem, (which happens, Wizkids is famous for its ineptitude. If people were surprised by that this year, that one's one them. It's been a well known fact for years.) then take it to PROPER channels...Or start your own boycott, or stop buying stuff, or whatever...Don't just keep blubbering on the Realms. Take your own action against Wizkids injustice!

Offering creative solutions is good, but just ####ing about stuff, well I'm gonna keep goin' on my "white knight" crusade every time I see crap like that. Because I don't wanna keep seeing the same stupid stuff every time I visit Realms. I like a relatively peaceful atmosphere to enjoy clix, and chat with like minded individuals. (Now, there's a pipe dream...heh...)

Isn't there a by-law or something that says "Constant negativity is not allowed" or something...? Thought I read that somewheres...

My advice to the constant complainers around these parts: (They know who they are.)

HeroClix is imbalanced. It's not going to change any time soon. Don't like the way the game is? Got issues? Cool. Please be polite, and go take your compalints some where else where we don't have to see them, and where your problems may be addressed accordingly. (Or just quit. That's always an option. Or play with only like minded individuals.)

TL;DR: Take action. They speak louder than words.
