Earth.
Right now, things are really looking dire for the universe as we know it. Red Skull's getting ready to deploy the Hydra Corps, Thanos wants to blow up Earth, and who knows what Darkseid is up to.
Get yourselves strapped in, boys and girls. This is going to be one hell of a ride.

And BL Venom is about to be unleashed on the galaxy...muhahaha
I'm really curious about how the change in leadership with the Yellow Lanterns will impact things. Sinestro wasn't exactly cuddly, but he approached things with a sense of honor. Red Skull is a character capable of far darker intentions.
As psyched as I am about implementing Thanos's suicide run, I'm even more intrigued by New Krypton's awakening. They've been the sleeping dragon through this entire story arc.
I was actually surprised when they weren't ganged up on by Thanos and Darkseid almost immediately. I kept thinking if I was them with 4 planets, I'd be worried about losing half of my empire or more each turn. I think I expected everyone to be more aggressive in the beginning. But they toughed it out, and the isolationist streak does fit with them, as does the sudden takeover and change in temperament.
The thing about Red Skull is he tends to work in the shadows and amass power until he has enough to destroy everything. I'm not sure what he'll do in a situation where he's facing enemies on every front out the gate. I've got a couple ideas, but I don't think he'll remain in power that long. Then again, speaking as a Green Lantern, I gotta say...I'm not sure who to try to stop. Darkseid has been the only person to directly attack us, Sinestro is our traditional enemy, but Thanos just did something unthinkable. The coalation has been remarkably quiet this turn, but I think that's because we're all coming to terms with recent events.
Want to hear something really funny? Before I found out Thanos had the Black Lanterns on his team, I kind of wanted to have him be obsessed with life in this shared universe and be connected to the White Lanterns. The Anti-Thanos. Or, alternately, to have the Realms of Thanos be some sort of isolationist dead zone (literally). Big "keep out, dead inside" sign on the regions. Then he got attacked by everybody and the most Thanos thing to do seem to be to lift that big gold gauntlet and raise a middle finger at the universe.

Reason: all the typos, I am all the typos this week
you know, the change to force deployment is healthier over-all for the game. there's no more of those massive tidal waves of forces hammering undefended worlds and almost every single match making or breaking an empire
but man, do I miss the excuse to field an army of legionnaires and imperial guard
Quick clarification on the story mission this week - it says 4 X 400 teams but Kree are 600 points below that--what's the point total everyone's using for the Kree? We're building our teams for the battle tomorrow and weren't sure what their point total should be.
