Night 2

At the start of the night, a girl needed a favor from someone older than her and she decided to just approach the first person she saw. Across the street she found a blonde woman who looked about the right age.
“Hey” shouted the girl, “I need you to sign this. I’m failing math”
The blonde woman looked at the paper, confused, “It says you need a parent’s signature. I’m not your parent”
“Close enough” said the girl, “It’s not like they really check anyway. Just scribble a signature, they’ll never know.”
The blonde woman protested, but the girl was persistent and eventually, the woman gave in and signed the paper, flustered.
The girl ran off and the blonde woman tried to remember what she was doing pre interruption.

A van was parked on the side of the road. It was looking pretty inconspicuous. Just a normal van, but someone had their eyes on it. In the blink of an eye, the van disappeared, and anyone inside would have disappeared along with them.

But the van had been empty. Nearby, watching from the bushes, the owner of the van watched along with the man that had told him to leave it.
“Thank you,” said the owner, catching his breath.
“Just looking out for everyone” smiled man, proud that he had made a difference.

A suspicious man was following a woman, unaware that he himself was being followed. After investigating, he felt confident that his target was a nasty criminal. "Wait until the town hears about this! I've got her now."
"Not so fast!" A man with large hair was standing next to him, talking very loudly. Where had he come from? "Did you know that most police investigations end up focusing on the wrong suspect?"
"What are you talking about?"
"How did you make the determination that your target was up to no good? Did you know that many standard investigative techniques are seriously flawed? Lie detectors are pseudoscience. In fact, the inventor of the polygraph disavowed his creation and spent years trying to prevent it from being used as a lie detector, because it simply doesn't work. Human memory and eyewitness accounts are notoriously fallible, and are often influenced by the investigators who question witnesses. Even staples of forensic science such as fingerprinting, hair matching, and bite mark analysis have never been scientifically proven to work the way they portray it on procedural crime dramas like CSI. Given all that, I find it preposterous that you think you can determine the truth after following someone around for a few hours."
The suspicious man was left standing somewhat dumbfounded, wondering if he could ever trust his intuitions again, before deciding to carry on with his night.

The large man held a secret. A secret that he hoped to keep hidden from the rest: he had not been unconscious like the rest. That part he had faked. He was the one who brought the others to this island. But he had a good cause; lives were on the line and he needed help. If only he had been more selective, and not brought a rogue element. As he pondered this, the rogue element was sneaking up on him. The self proclaimed Nasty woman wrapped the cord around her hands to pull it tight and snuck up behind the large man. She pulled until his last breath had passed by his lips.

After she finished her task, the Nasty woman was returning home when suddenly, she couldn’t move. Scared, she tried to scream out as her body was lifted off the ground. Her body was flung through the air by an invisible force and she hit the side of a building, hard. That would be the end of her.

Night 2 is over.

Michiganj24 is dead. He was Hugo ‘Hurley’ Reyes (Town/Lost) castaway in charge of the island you now all call home.

Malakim2099 is dead. He was Samantha Bee (Mafia/Full Frontal with Samantha Bee), left leaning political talk show host.

Does anybody have any clue what that first part is or why it's important? It seems a bit random, but so do most parts of most write-ups. This one just stands out to me for some reason

Cool. Mafia autopsy. Unfortunately I have no idea who Samantha Bee is, so I don't Think I can venture a guess about the theme.

Just want to apologize for my absence in the last day phase. Not that it's unusual of me, but I do want to be more active, especially since I am a fan of both my role and this mod. Being home on vacation messes with my mind and I forget sometimes that this is a thing I need to look at regularly. (As opposed to when I'm at school & I'm too busy to look at it regularly)

Also, no capture this night. Not sure if it actually means something or not.

It might be someone misdirecting malakim, he seems to have been a blonde woman and (to be blunt) I don't Think the Mafia intended to kill Michigan.
I don't know if Magnito would change adjectives for the same character half-way through the writeup, so it could be a different blonde woman being messed with though.

Samantha bee is like a Jon Stewart political host,using comedy. Maybe the mafia theme is political comedians?

He didn't, not exactly, but he did get pretty close. Theme could be politics, could be talk shows, could be people on TV who aren't playing somebody else...

I think DB's got enough pressure for so early in the phase.

I don't Think any of those guesses are accurate. I guess we'll see in due time though.
