The Justice League got Adam Strange's summons. Zatanna was on duty and decided to speed things up. After verifying who was free to respond, she cast a spell sending them all to Rann. This drained her so she stayed behind.

Superman, Flash, Hal Jordan, the Ray Palmer Atom, Wonder Woman and the Ronnie Raymond/Martin Stein version of Firestorm arrived to help.

The five Gears of War soldiers were confused. Suddenly they were back on their home planet but to their dismay it was desolate. Where was the populous?

Captain Beyond arrived to explain things to them. They learned that a third of the populous would arrive shortly. another third the next day and finally the third the day after.

Akuma finally defeated the White Martian and as he turned to gloat, Mister Fixit handed him an uppercut that knocked Akuma clean out for twenty minutes, repaying Akuma for the earlier cheap shot.

J'onn, J'omz and Starhawk managed to get Master Chief and Cortana past the barriers of the Covenant headquarters with relative ease. Starhawk and the Martian Manhumter stood guard as the duo collected their data.

Zangief was the first of the Street fighters to be sent home. He was delivered to Moscow, in his home, where he would soon learn that the Red Ghost was calling the shots.

Dhalsim was delivered to Bombay, E. Honda to Nagasaki, Fei Long to Hong Kong. Dee Jay to Kingston, Blamka to the Brazilian jungle, T. Hawk to Mexico, Cammy White to London, Chun Li to Beijing, Ken Masters was sent to L.A.

They never knew that Ryu had arrived.

Master Chief and Cortana got the information they needed and with the help of Starhawk and the Martian Manhunter, easily escaped the compound.

Akuma woke up from the devastating punch Mister Fixit gave him.

He woke up angry and moved toward Mister Fixit to attack him again, but Captain Comet challenged Akuma instead.

The information that Cortana gathered was crucial toward the Rannians pushing back on and breaking the invasion.

With the help of the Justice League, the Nova Corps and the heroes that had already come to help, the Covenant/Locust invasion was broken.

General Raam, Skorge and Kantus fled back to their underground lairs beneath the surface of Sera. They took some but not all of their surviving followers.

The Prophet of Regret and Tartarus also fled to their homeworlds though Tartarus did so reluctantly as it was against his nature to back down. They too took some but not all of their surviving followers.

Adam Strange and the Justice League immediately began the process of cleanup aided by surviving members of the Nova Corps.

Captain Comet made short work of Akuma.

Akuma felt humiliated. He had been humbled by two superheroes he'd never seen before. Akuma felt like he needed to work on his mastery of the Satsui No Hado because Captain Comet was only slightly fazed by it.

The Midnight Rambler took Akuma to an isolated Pacific Island where he could live and train until he was ready to challenge the world again.

Adam Strange had a lot to do but he was busy trying to help Ryu find his Street Fighter friends. To his surprise, they were nowhere to be found.

Ryu was informed by Adam Strange that they had been here but he couldn't account for their absence. He told Ryu about the other Street Fighters that might still be out there. The villainous ones. Ryu was shocked and dismayed when he heard Sagat named in that group. He thought he had buried the hatchet with Sagat.

Ray Palmer arrived to discuss something with Adam Strange and when he heard Ryu's plight, he suggested to them that they all might have been transported to Earth. This had happened before with arrivals of both heroes and villains. He sited Aquaman's wife Mera as an example. Mera was immediately transported to Atlantis when she arrived because she could not breathe air. She barely had time to acknowledge seeing Batman's foe the Scarecrow before she was transported.

After several hours went by with no sightings of any Street Fighters they were forced to conclude that that was the likely outcome for the ones that had arrived on Rann.

Because of the mystery of the missing Street Fighters, Adam Strange sent out Rannian police to look for the Gears of War soldiers that he had allowed to roam so that they could collect any of their own that arrived. He joined the search himself.

They found nothing. It was almost as if the Gears of War soldiers had never been there.

Captain Beyond paid a visit to Captain Comet and Mister Fixit.

He explained what had happened to the five Gears of War soldiers and that they were very vulnerable without help until the population of their home planet was restored.

Captain Comet understood and was ready to help but Mister Fixit wanted to know "What was in it for me?"

Captain Comet had grown to like Mister Fixit. He couldn't begin to guess why. He laughed and told the grey Hulk he would make it worth while as Captain Comet could easily find riches to shower on his new friend.

Mister Fixit grumpily agreed and they both were transported to Sera by Captain Beyond to help the five soldiers cope on their new but familiar world.

While all that was going on, Master Chief, Cortana and Sergeant Avery Johnson were all transported to Eridanus II, the home planet of John 117.
All the surviving Spartans, ODST and Space marines were transported with them.

The Sanghelili; the Elite that still lived, were brought to their home planet, Sanghelios.

The Brutes (the Jilranhanae) that survived, were delivered to the planet Dolsac.

The Kig Yar survivors (the Jackals) were taken to their homeworld of Eayn.

The few surviving Grunts; Unngoy were sent to their homeworld. Balaho.

The surviving Drones; Yanme'e, were returned to their homeworld, Palamok.

The infected were disintegrated. It wouldn't be hard for the Covenant to regroup.
