I'm glad to see WK responding to cutomer feedback and making necessary changes. SM was an issues, and while it may not have been the change I would have done, I don't disagree with it. K-bow now works the way it was intended and kudos to WK for doing a pre-emptive strike on Rage Hammer. Hopefully this is a new direction n the way they look at the pieces before they're released, pinpointing any potential trouble spots.
The only downside I can see is the constant changes creating confusing amungst less hard core players who don't visit here every day. How is little Timmy going to feel when brings home a booster, pulls a Rage Hammer, builds an army around it, then shows up for the game and discovers, surprise! it's been changed. My venue owner had a lot of his cutomers tell him they were getting out of the game (pre-2.0) because they were sick of all the FAQ's and errastas constantly changing their pieces.
Some of the changes were too extreme (storm maul: add the BOL-like dice roll, rage hammer: disallow impale proficiency) and some were perfect (k-bow).
Overall though, reducing the power of three relics made all the other relics, as well as alot more figures more competitively playable. I applaud WizKids and compliment them on adjusting their game in a much more efficient and timely manner (as compared to their management of 1.0 figure power creep).
i agree w/ you pickman. i am a better army builder than player. against what you had to play against i think you did great. i will whole heartedly admit that we played w/ cheese. that's my point though. we had to bring the cheese to show how not fun it was. as far as my not getting far, anyone who played me can tell you i got bored and left the water to play for real. that army would get crushed in that fashion as it did. had i not played for fun and stayed in deep water than i would have done fine. you are all talking about our being cheesey but fail to realise that was the point. and yes i still believe we break things. i don't deny that others do to, either b4 or after we do. i'm not in competition to say who came up w/ what first. all i wanted was a change and that change happened. as far as what makes mkort players good? we share and expand upon each others ideas as well as those of yours that we see online. :) i don't doubt at all it was a boring game for you mr. pickman but you played it admirably and the fact that it was a boring game was my point. i would love to play a friendly game w/ you some time as i know what a good player you are and i would like the chance to pit my strategic skills against yours and not just play an army that will almost guarantee a win through loopholes and cheese.

my bad...... sorry. but aside from NOT killing kossak in one turn (in which he will almost be garaunteed to die the next turn. The ability to knock off most figures might as well be a slightly less powerful version of spirit armor... I attack and if I make the roll then more than likely the attack will finish out and *poof* no unique.... and I take a token then reassert myself for the next unit to pommel to death in one round.
