3. Bat man could beat doom it just has to be written right!

Even Using a portion of his strenght ( If he were using all of his strenght One Punch would take down batman) Even at the Held back stregth which i consider to be only a little superhuman it would be enough to To make Batman feel it. He Is faster Stronger and Far more agile than Batman. With no prep time Batman Looses. With Prep time i will give it to Batman as other less smart villians have proven to out plan spiderman , so Batman could with ease give time ofcourse.

I do Find myself switching between Slade and Deathstroke really only cause Slade is such a sweet name. My point remains valid however, Deathstroke is Awsome.

I can give alot of educated guesses on the comic book end, but as far as Christian v.s. Tobey, I am in the Dark!

what i don't get is why people keep saying batman will kill. batman does not kill! even in hush when he was going to kill the joker he still hesitated. and this was the joker. superman constantly says this is one of the only things they have in common. so you can just take that part of the argument out. as for using his martial arts skills to block, um, no, one block most likely will end up breaking or fracturing his arm or hand, even if spidey were holding back.oh yeah and by the way batman will not kill, got it yet? as for someone with a history of reading both hero's comics knowing batman will win, again no, i have read both, for a long time and say spidey will win.

Reading their comics for a long time and "being well-versed in their history" are 2 different things.

Bottom line... he who has more resources will win. Peter can barely pay his bills. Bruce can be accused and jailed for murder and still find a way out.

maybe i should have phrased it differantly, i am also well versed in both batman and spideys histories, i still say spidey, i think resources won't even play into it. sorry, oh and by the way bats just lost his tech company. he is on his own with the development of new weapons and devices. hope some of you have been taking that into account. so probably no anti spidey devices. i think you guys are counting on bats meeting spidey, realizing he has to find a way to beat him, and him going back to the cave, and then boom, bats wins. well spidey can do the same, and guess what he needs less resources to do it, why? bats has to find a way around spidey's skill AND powers, spidey simply has to stay sharp and find a way around bats skills, 'cause he doesn't have any powers. is everyone forgetting spidey's recent upgrade? better spider sense, increased strength(like he wasn't already strong enough for bats) web shooters are now a part of him(no loss of web fluid) that's a lot more for bats to have to prepare for. oh and he currently doesn't have oracle in case you all forgot. she is currently taking a break. he only has alfred. history is important but let's also remember current events.

Okay... concensus is that Bats can win with planning.

Everyone else says that if they ran into each other in a dark alley... Batman would get worked.

1st off... any type of battle between Bats and Spidey would not be some chance meeting in an alley.

Secondly -- has anyone considered the fact that Bats may have countermeasures in his belt for chance meetings with metapowers he doesn't understand so that he can stall for more research? Like nerve gas? Last time I checked... Spidey can't hold his breath forever. And say Batman were to run away to plan, Spidey isn't prone to chasing opponents unless he is endangering the lives of others... he has other things more important (to him) like eating dinner with Aunt May or figuring out his new powers.

Third: I have no idea why I keep posting to this thread... maybe because it reminds me of when I was a little kid and we used to argue in the playground over which superhero was better.

Or that bats get tech beefy enough to overwhelm spidermans abilities.

I wouldnt put it past Peter to put a filter of some sort into his mask, same way bruce has that kevlar plate in his chest.

Agreed on point 1 erick, some sort of fight between them would need to be carefully orchastraeted, since your not going to get them fighting randomly.
