How could this have happened?:

Source: Metagame.com Round 13 pairings
In draft pods of 7 people, one player in that pod gets a bye each round. Nevertheless, I thought 119 people advanced, which is only 1 short of a multiple of 8 (120) by my math. 3 byes indicates 3 tables short a person. Maybe multiple people didn't show up?
edit: I think what happened is that Boccio's opponent got a bye and Boccio was given a loss against bye, instead of them actually being paired and Boccio given a game loss. The last person has a bye from the table short a person.
It's in the blog, and it looks different now in the pairings. Alarm Clock tech problems prolly.
It's tooth and nail at the top... Scary Saturday for the fans stuck at home. (At least until 7:30, when Nina and I have a wild "Jungle" party for a friend's birthday. We are dressing like Witch Doctors and reading Tarot for the drunken throng.)

Thanks.
Actually, it should be called "Kelvin's Dream" too. Check the team forum stu, back in December, eekamouse posted a build based on this deck that Patrick and Billy were telling him about. One of my local players made it but it was before the rise of Sentinels.
We talked about it yesterday and realized how good a meta choice that deck was in the CS dominant field. The only problem is not getting the pieces fast enough. What surprises me is Batow must have faced more non-Sentinel decks because that's basically an auto-win.
Calling each draft pod a separate 3-round, 8-man tournament is not entirely accurate, but it's pretty close. A few pods will have people with different match points, and the primary pairing method is to pair people by total match points, not how they'd done so far in the pod. Well, I'm not privy to MANTIS's programming, but that's how I'd imagine it would work.
It does take a bit more time than constructed; note that there are 9 draft rounds whereas there were 12 rounds of constructed. Each of the 3 physical drafts basically takes up the time of a round.
Sorry guys. Doing a bunch of stuff with the family. I'll update the front page now. I'll probably update it a bit more tonight at the card shop. They have a LAN.
After 18 rounds: Top 16 players
1 - Alex Shvartsman (15-3)
2 - Ryan Jones (14-4)
3 - Vidianto Wijaya (14-4)
4 - Jans Joachim (14-4)
5 - Adam Bernstein (14-4)
6 - Michael Barnes (13-5)
7 - Jason T. Dawson (13-5)
8 - Cory Eisenhard (13-5)
9 - Antonio De Rosa (13-5)
10 - Bulk Lao (13-5)
11 - Adam Fears (13-5)
12 - Matthew Tatar (13-5)
13 - Jacob Perlman (13-5)
14 - Jason Hage (13-5)
15 - Michael Jacob (13-5)
16 - Anthony Justice (12-6)
So, as you can see, 1 (15-3), 4 (14-4), 10 (13-5), and 1 (12-6) players in the top 16. Right now, most likely, only the top 15 can make it into the Top 8.
Also, how exactly are drafts broken down into? Like the top 8, then the next 8; or like 1 and 119 are placed at the same table?
