This, my dear friends, is one way that Stu is better than a lot of people I personally know. A lot of people would then be very stubborn and consider this situation grudge-worthy, and would hold to this.
Personally, I'd be baffled if Stu remembered his hate long enough to stay silent for the rest of this thread.
(Not to say that the hate still isn't there. He just hides it better than most.)
What is it with all this trendy new hate anyway? Did Ghostbusters 2 teach us nothing?!?
On the subject of Metagame.com, it is impossible to please all of the people all of the time. It is wrong of me to make assumptions of people based purely on what I see on the net, (I’ll do it anyway though) but Biz, I doubt anything they did would make you happy. You sound a lot like my mother-in-law. Never happy unless you’re complaining .
Last time I checked, Metagame.com posts regular articles on just about every aspect of VS.
Mr. Willoughby and Mr. Price post articles covering a wide range of subjects including personal experiences and deck/tech ideas.
Mr. Barnes and Mr. Hager post good deckbuilding articles.
Mr. Fike and Ms Maysonette both post casual articles about decks and play experiences.
Recently, Mr. Hyra has been posting regular stuff about the development of DJL. Mr. Kaalman posts articles regarding the comic lore of teams and characters. Mr. Spears has had interviews with various VS “names” and a gentleman who’s name I forget (the cerebro feature) features ruling q and a.
What aspect of the VS game is not covered by metagame.com? You cannot please all the people all the time, but from where I sit, Metagame does it’s best. Why not send a message to Mr. Watcher. After reading a tournament report where Mr. Willoughby had added commentary to the top 8 decklist, I dropped a note on his blog saying how much of an improvement that was over the normal plain list. He responded and since then commentary on the decklists has been a welcome norm.
As for all the specific Stu hate. At least the likes of Mr. Zonos have been consistent over the months. Now we see a load of “barns” (who were once quite happy hanging on Stu’s every word) detaching themselves like rats leaving a ship they believe is sinking. I find it hilarious. The internet is the one place that these kids can normally puff their chest out and pretend to be tougher than they actually are. So what do they do, they see a few names speaking out against Stu so they say “Hey, look at that bandwagon, lets jump on”. For ####s sake kids, get an opinion of your own.

We used to have Donias, Hyra, and Humpherys posting articles every single week. Now we're lucky if we can get just one of them to show up.
And we haven't gotten another Kerg article for a month now. Seems like he too has been edged out in favor of more decks and tech.

Kinda of two minds about this. Theoretically, they're working too hard on the game to write articles, and it's hard to begrudge them that...
Just read your latest Metagame... it was better than previous ones because there was an original deck in there... Longshot/Omen. My question is... have you played it at all? I would like to see a jank deck that you've actually played so we can see how it works. Just my suggestion for the week.
Some more hate: As much as you think you are the best thing that happened to VS... that's fine. Many of us think that way one time or another. But to continue shouting about it is tiring. Truthfully... none of us has put VS on the map. I can honestly say that you can have never existed and VS would still be here (didn't you try to disappear like twice already?). The same can be said about me and anyone else. So just stop doing that and there goes about 90% of the hate on you.
And stop barning me and Billy. We don't hate you... we just like to hate on you.

Originally posted by Bizarro #98 This I would disagree with, because, as I mentioned before, they did it when the game was first getting started. It only stands to reason that, now that they're in the swing of things and have a backlog of six dozen sets, they should be able to write just as much as they used to, if not more.
One could make the argument that a lot of these guys are now busy working on Upper Deck's other games, but still, somebody is working on VS. Whoever they are, they should be writing Metagame articles.
