"Touche," Trevor admitted and drew a pistol on the Swordman, but the Avenger was too quick, disarmed his with a deft move of his blade, then knocked him out cold with the hilt. "Consider yourself fortunate that I don't use my sword as lethally as I could most of the time."

"Anyone else noticing the big white ape on the roof? Anyone?" War Machine asked. "Okay, I guess it's me then." He targeted the Ultra-Humanite.

That was an especially brutal turn. And that's three kos, UH, Oz and Steve.

Ace replaces Oz. Gets me tk, pc and perplex. That limits pc for us both. K1 for him, boosts Mid-Nite's av to 10.

Mid-Nite needs 7 to heal him, rolls 7. Heal is 1.

Despero tries to mc Cap and Carol. Gets 12. Rs to I10 on Wanda, Clint and Hank. Rolls 7. That kos both Hawkeye and Hank. 1 to Carol for being mced.

Carol on WM, Wanda and Swords. Rolls 8. 3 to Swords as hindering prevents the others being hit.

Starro, I warned you, he's up. He tries to mc Carol and WM. Rolls 7. Both are hit, so starrophytes next to both.

Carol attacks WM, Wanda and Swords. Gets 3. Not gonna do anything with that.

Merlyn should be at 4 at this point. He was at 2 and I hit him for 2 more.

I'm over extended and there are too many benefits to you to let you play out of your starting area. Captain Marvel to break? Gets 6. RS to I14, targets Merlyn and the Starrophytes. SC on Merlyn is 4. AV10 on DV17 +1 and DV10 +1. Gets 8. Can KO Merlyn and with her Special, gets the two Starrophytes out too.

War Machine is mentally enthralled, first by Despero, then by Starro, to attack his fellow Avengers.

"Do you ever feel obsolete?" Maxie Zeus asks.

"All the time," Ragdoll replies.

What a strange point this game is at. I've still got probably a couple replacements but I've got a lot of walking wounded on the map. You're at points with really only two pieces of real consequence left, but boy what pieces they are. Conventional wisdom probably favors me in this game, but I don't know.

Despero and Starro aside, I don't think you have to worry too much. Most of the rest are lightweights.

Ace lowers Despero's dv to 17.

Mid-Nite needs 8 to heal, rolls 8.

Penguin makes another pulsing bot. Ace tks it to H10.

It sides to H12. Pulses. 3. Worse than the miss is using my only tker for that action.

Dr. Light needs 9 to hit WM, I do have pc to back that up. Gets 9. 2 penetrating to him.

Ragdoll to F9, WM seems a little lonely.
