Good to know! That plus her gaining mystics makes a big difference.

You know if we can use the exact same figure for less points yet with more powers, abilities, etc, I think that makes this the first tangible evidence that the Point Formula has gone up in smoke and is a thing of the past... and makes me wonder if it hasn't been used for a while now.
I know, I know that most people haven't believed in the Point Formula for years. Previous side by side dial comparisons of the same point value have shown pretty blatant examples in the past that Wizkid's had pretty much stopped using anything even resembled a Point Formula. Yet, I always hung on to hope and still had faith that there was some mythical Point Formula guideline or reference that they used. If only for the credibility of the game.
This, for me personally is concrete evidence. How can you justify the exact same figure being beefier and better, yet costing less...? I mean, did they take away anything from Legacy figures that would compensate for the lower point value...? Anything else before this might have been circumstantial, I'd consider this hard proof.
What figures would I bring back. The problem is, all the ones I would like Legacy Cards for, Wizkids would not make, due to being too high points, but if they ever went back to higher point figures again, I would like to see the following:
AA Wonder Woman
GSX Sabretooth
DC75th Doomsday
DC75 Hal Jordan
BD Aquaman
BM Booster Gold #052
SOG Scarecrow 023
NML Poison Ivy 004
NML Ultimate Clayface
JL52 Deathstroke #020
M10th Iron Man #009
M10th Green Goblin #018
M10th Thor #016 (but higher point value)
M10th Dark Phoenix
DC10th Brainiac 012
ASM Moon Knight 032
CW Loki 042
CW Sentry #035
CW Hawkeye 039
TT Raven#064
GOTG Ronan #020
CWSOP Punisher #025
AVAS Black Widow
AOUSOP Blue Marvel #048
DPGF Daredevil
UXM Magneto #062 (Add Brotherhood TA as well)
JW Killer Croc 047 (Higher Point value as well)
EW Superman 050 (Add with Hypersonic Speed as well)

Her legacy dial is a mix of buffs and nerfs.
Her Alternate Avengers trait used to be a +2/-2 Perplex on anything except damage, but can only target Avengers keyword; now it's just normal Perplex (which still won't be able to modify damage in the upcoming rules). Her Cold Steel trait used to only allow opposing figures to add 1 to their BCF rolls against her; now it's +1 to damage dealt if using objects, BCF, or equipped.
Are these nerfs a bigger hit to her than the various buffs she's getting? I'd say that it doesn't seem that way, and she is now more capable and has a lower cost, but +2/-2 Perplex could have been a very expensive power in the point formula, even if it's locked to a specific (but common) keyword. Edit to add: And getting hit with and object, or by an equipped character, makes her "weakness" a fair bit more common.

Alright thanks for pointing this out and restoring a bit of my faith in the Point Formula. It's the first time I've ever seriously doubted it, I'm still at odds over this. You bring up some valid points, I'd hope this aspect of the game could keep a shred of integrity.
LEGACY FIGURES: Exhibit "a" in the state versus the Point Formula. Court now in session...

FWIW, I do believe there was an actual point formula up through Origin.
Non-Standard abilities -- Special Powers and Traits -- can't be quantified through a formula. They require subjective judgment. So almost anything from Avengers on becomes suspect.
Dude I really love the legacy Morgan card, I still have that figure, but if the legacy card should be one per brick...
That will be really really expensive
I'm not sure how anyone can believe in a point formula after this happened. They're just doing what feels right at the time.
Same numbers, same powers, identical TAs, identical traits, released 6 months apart, even same rarity. 10 point difference.
Typo...? WizKids is notorious for those and other spelling & grammar mistakes, or simple character fact checks for bios, keywords, flavor text, etc.
I see what you are saying though, that is probably the most commonly used example when pointing out Point Formula flaws. Is it the exception or the rule...?

I submit to you that that is a cutting and pasting error that they didn't catch. And because what is "ok" has become so subjective. And just about anything seems reasonable ... no one noticed anything was out of place.
That's my theory.
I also think it's reasonable to think that they could have and use a point formula, and then then with each successive set Put a -1% modifier per set or -5% a year on it or something. Over long periods of time that would really add up.

Yeah, I think it is totally reasonable that the Point Formula is malleable and that WizKids has modified it over the years. It would have to be with each new mechanic added to the game. Whether you use formula in the mathematical sense or the ingredient one, any formula can be tweaked and changed over time.
