I think the description (from JonL ?) at the top of the thread implies a 7 or 8 click dial at least.
IF the defence number drops rapidly, then yes, we have the new Firelord...
This is going to see an awful lot of play...
...oh, and on the X Men storyline (Jean/Scott/Emma + Hank goes Junkie) - pause, rewind, erase...
I highly doubt it. One is range. Sure you can perplex it up to a 9 (max), but she's still going to be outranged and outgunned.
16 defense? That doesn't even compare with a starting 18 from Firelord. Supersense? wow. Does it really matter with outwit out there?
Sure, you can TK her out into combat, but with the short range, she's pretty much going to be hung out to dry vs. someone else's team.
Even Firelord had other options to start like Energy Explosion and Barrier. Pulsewave is nice, but it'll force you to put perplexers in for a max range of 5, otherwise 3. Doesn't really inspire fear. Not to mention he actually gets PW at the end of his dial for 3 clicks (talking about the exp and comparable pointwise) and by that time 8 AV isn't all that bad.
That and Firelord's dial is much, much deeper. I highly doubt she's going to have 9 total clicks (maybe 7 or 8, but the implication is it wouldn't be a fairly deep dial).
Sorry, but for that kind of point value, I'd rather field other figs that are more comparable. Heck, even the Vet Cyborg wouldn't be a bad replacement for approx 30 points. You could field a PW for 3 damage and have a TK to go along with it....

Originally posted by sinistersex just curious, i dont follow DC clix as well as i should...but are there any figures that should have been big, powerful figures but were toned down for whatever reason in DC? here we have Phoenix,
Superman, of course. (2 damage? A gotham policeman can do 2 damage!)
Kara Zor-El the LE Supergirl. The pre-Crisis Supergirl was like the pre-Crisis Superman: un-friggin'-imaginably powerful. For example, her invulnerability was such that you *aren't* going to hurt her without (a) magic (b) kryptonite, (c) red sun radiation, or (d) another Kryptonian. Knives aren't going to hurt her, so you BCF characters can just pack it up and go home. Therefore, she should ignore the first 6 clicks of damage-- or at least ignore the BCF power, in addition to having her Impervious power. And she's as strong as Superman, who can move the Earth whenever he needs to (heck, he once *blew* the planet into a different position, with his superbreath). She should have way more damage... maybe an 8 or 9, plus superstrength. Etc, ad nauseum.
But you've got to make those ninjas feel useful, so the powerful characters have to be scrooged.
There are plenty of others, but those two are the biggest ones.
I saw a custom on ebay that was closer to the Wizkids version than yours, EmperorShotz (It was 80% Phoenix effect). For the record I like, your version better than both of them. Yours has more of that Alan Davis look going for it. Well done!
Catering to the lowest common denominator since Feb 2003.
I dont like it ....they should of used the yellow/green outfit for her......those wings look like s***........they should of used the clear red like dormmanu's head...........Oh well.....
First good trader = darius_dax1
Second good trader =pilzbury

WHAT yellow green outfit ??? i don't recall the mutant hound wearing any lime yellow outfit ... ooh ... you must mean the OTHER phoenix
The Answer man is always ready to fill in newer fans about past continuity and threads of stories used today that don't make much sense if you haven't read the last ten years of 3 or 4 different books, you know like the X-Men!
Heroclix Fan> I am getting into this Heroclix Phoenix sneakpeek and understand that the character has been kicking around the X-Men for a long time. How do I find out more about her?
Shango >Go back to X-Men #190 or so, and start from there. You should figure it out.
Heroclix Fan> Thanks.. (hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...) But really I cant afford every issue from 190.... Cant someone summarize it up in a few pages?
Heh, heh, heh. Hoo, boy did you ask for it.
In early X-Men, Jean Grey become Phoenix.
Phoenix become Dark Phoenix. Very, very bad. Eats planet. With people.
Burp.
Friends of planet that got eat much upset. Try to kill Phoenix.
Phoenix gets lobotomy. No more Dark Phoenix.
Shooter gets X-Men 137. No more John Byrne.
Lobotomy unhappen. Phoenix get killed, instead.
Story written about Phoenix daughter before Shooter read #137. Oops.
Time to rewrite, much fast.
Rachel show up in X-Men 142, look like Jean Grey Mark II.
Jean Grey Mark III (Madelyn Prior) show up in X-Men 171.
Madelyn and Scott get marry in X-Men 175.
Rachel appear in X-Men 190, come from future where Jean not die.
Since Jean not Phoenix, power go to Madelyn.
Madelyn like her baby, which really not hers, because she not herself,
but rather is clone of person who died before, but dead self has unborn
daughter from future time running around from before Shooter read X-Men
137. Much confusing.
Madelyn try resolve problem by killing everybody and murder son.
Madelyn son get kidnap from Jean Grey Mark IV from different future. Son
needs to grow up to be Cable. Just so you know.
Jean Mark I reappear. Turn out she not die in X-Men 137, she fall asleep
way back in X-Men 99. So what was Jean Mark I was really Jean Mark V.
Nobody in comic notice. Nobody in Marvel care. Nobody in readership
understand.
Jean reappear with Scott in X-Factor, but Scott no tell Jean he marry
Jean Mark III (Madelyn Pryor), because Jean Mark I get mad at him. Meanwhile,
Jean Mark II (Rachel Summers) kicking around Excalibur. Averaging one
Jean per strip at this point.
Writer decide Madelyn has good idea to kill everybody. Blows up world.
Makes writing easier.
Left with three Jean Greys. Whoops. Scott got some 'splainin to do.
Jean I fights Jean III to prevent the Phoenix (Jean IV) from destroy
world. Except Phoenix likes Jean II better.
Writer keeps forgetting footnotes. Throw Jean I, Jean II, and Jean III
in blender. Whirrrrrr.
New, improved Jean. More coherent. Three sets of memories. Goes nuts on
occassion. Multi-faceted personality. Typical woman.
Oh, forget Phoenix still kicking around. Alan Davis much annoyed.
Phoenix (Jean V) decide to eat Rachel (Jean II).
true, but quite a bit incomplete. you forget at least five jaunts into alternate futures, plus at least three deaths; and of course subsequent rebirths.
