I´m not too excited about the sculpt. The big head, the tentacle-like "cloak" and the white skin make him look like some kind of nightmarish mime from hell. Then again, I never did like Mr. Sinister much in the first place. Don´t even get me started on the name

The cloak/cape/what ever it is looks like its made of the same kind of semi-flexible material as Hawk´s cloak. This is not a good thing. All my Hawks look like sh1t since the flexibility causes the paint to peel off.

Regarding the 9 attack; thats quite good for a non-fighting character. It seems to me the high attack values in Infinity Challenge are a thing of the past (thank god..). BTW, IMO Ultimate Thor should have a range of 8 at maximum. And really, I´d rather see him have charge than running shot.

i like him, and i hope i get one my self, i think i remember that he was invulnerable to harm, and immortal, having the abbility to regenerate from all normally fatal attacks, unless (and im not to shure about this) the crystals in his forehead, and chest are destroyed. i cant remember everything about this guy, but i do remember that yes, he was weak to cyclops and havocs attacks, i just dont have a clue how this character has changed in recent comic books, if anyone could tell me what sinister is up to nowadays i would be most gratefull

which btw is a good name in comix could only be harmed by Cyclops.
in the Goblin queen story line, Havok attacks Cyclops when he is held by the "energy binders" thereby powering him up (because Havoks and Cyclops powers CAN'T hurt eachother !!) so Cyclops could break free and blast Sinister.

A) Sinister has regenerated himself again after that.

B) Sinister new he wasn't getting anywhere, though he defeated the rest of the whole X-team so he escaped somehow.

sisnister can be hurt by other means than just cyclops he is jut har to hurt his invulnerability dosent work against cyclops optic blast thats why cyke can hurt him so bad, but others hurt him its just harder to thats all.

From a collector's standpoint, I got what I wished for. Now my only other two wishes are for Ultimates Iron Man & Thor.

I dont play in tournaments, and I dont play casual too often, so whether or not Sinister is "worth it", I could not tell you. From a person who is out to collect every figure however, then its cool.

Realy like the sculpt.

Sounds a little "underpowered", but the Perplex should help...

Oh, and when Cyclops blasted him, Sinister's flesh was incinerated, and his burning skeleton blown appart (sounds distasteful, I know, but that's what happened...) and, later, he came back. As Sinister has used Clones of his key henchmen continuosly, I have always assumed that his mind simply transfered into his next cloned body at the time of his "Death", rather like his various underlings...

Sinister, by definition, stands behind a line of expendable super-mooks - and it looks like that has been captured with this character.

sinister pretty much smiles and tells him that he let him think that since the battle at that point was a lost cause

sinister should have impervious and not really shapechange, just to keep his points down, but it is true to the character

Otherwise I'm happy with him, and he is not apocalypse lite, because he is a better piece. Psychic blast, early perplex, outwit, and a higher defense

It is very obvious to me, that even though they claim the contrary, the designers of this game have simply no idea how this game is played.

This figure is only acceptable as part of a Battle Royale team, or when you open three boxes of figures and get totally hosed by fate. Yet another figure that will only be played in a constructed event by players who have played less than two weeks.

I am sure he is a fine representation of the Mr. Sinister figure, and no I don't expect EVERY figure to be a maxed out god, but this is bad. Lex Luthor bad. Only the Perplex keeps him from being Parasite bad.

Sinister really haven't fought anybody outside of the X-Men and the X-books. Of the X-Men related characters he DID fight however, he has almost always dominated them. Cyclops, Havok, Goblyn Queen, Cable, X-Man, and anybody touched by Apocalypse has given him trouble in the past (from my memory). I don't remember him ever having contact with Professor X.

The Psychic Blast is there mainly because Sinister is one of those villains that always has a plan to hurt you. In Sinister's case, he specifically can "turn off" powers of other superbeings (mainly X-Men) due to his research of genetics.

The Shapechange is really annoying, but it IS appropriate to his character. Not having Phasing is a bit odd, but I can live with that.

Sinister is one of those characters that really need the nexus like in Mage Knight 2.0. He has SO many abilities that it's impossible to do him properly while keeping his cost low.

He would have been ideal for a character with Outwit all the way down the dial, but I think overall, WK did a great job making him similar to his comics self.

What a waster of a U spot. I have never been intrested with Sinister, and that Inferno debacle is the reason I stopped reading X-men. I for one hope I don't pull this guy. He is reason for me alone to buy singles and not take chances with packs.

Thats funny, cause Sinister is the unique I want the most. I have been waiting for him since Infinity Challenge. I like it that this next set has such an assorted mix of characters. For instance, I can't wait to get the Serpent Society, but really dislike anything that has to do with the Ultimates. Everybody can find at least something to look forward to in this set.
