I knew I forgot something. How could I forget my old pal, 'Girlwind'?
I've been waiting for a proper version for a long time, and beside the Batroc's Brigade trivia team I wanted him (as I do the new Mr. Hyde and Klaw) for a Masters of Evil. Oh, well, we have an Avengers-themed set in the mix in 2012 -- he'll probably be there if they don't slip him in as one of the non-theme bits in the year-ending Hulk set. (We don't know how much more focused these 50-piece sets may be.)
Today saw me get into work early as there was a great deal to be done in the morning and signs had been warning us of road reconstruction (probably widening) starting along my usual route here starting today, so I wanted to take an alternate way and use it ahead of any rush.
On the way here - less than half way - the engine temp started to creep up again. Putting the heat on full brought it down and kept it at the midpoint where it belongs, but along with the heat itself the nervous tension of having to keep an eye on it is draining, not to mention it being dangerous to find myself looking at a gauge as often as that while trying to negotiate through traffic.
A call to my mechanic this morning has me waiting for a call back -- probably around noon - once he sees whether it's something that can be worked in today or rolled to tomorrow.
Prior to heading out this morning I checked the coolant (level's still fine) and oil (that was a little low, so I added some), so it's not a coolant leak. Bad thermostat is what I'm rooting for -- a fairly easy, inexpensive fix. We'll see.

Sounds like the thermostat may be stuck shut. I would be extra careful driving it though. Crack a head gasket and a simple fix is out the window. I would check the oil. If it looks like chocolate milk you're screwed.
As far as the Cap SRs go, while I could prioritize them it's fair to say that at the moment the only one I'm really not interested in is Squirrel Girl, though should I pull her and not be looking to make a trade for something I'm missing I'd be fine with keeping her.
Top of the SR list for me would be MODOK. I'm extremely curious about Scorpio, too. Really, though, I expect that I'll want all of them to some degree.
I'm curious to see the sculpts, point costs, mechanics and rarity for the Weapon X and Cap in Ice pieces, as the more I think about it the more either of these may go up for sale rather than my keeping them. Each is very situational -- very much locked to a particular event -- and I may end up finding that beyond the novelty most of the appeal will be for the comics/story connection and fr display, and that won't be enough to get me to hold onto either one is the market's offering chase-like cash for them.

If nothing else, she completes this set's GLA. I could live with her or without her.

i'm gonna go with Quasar, pending dial review but MODOK seems like the front runner to me, too.

There's not too many likelyhoods where I'd be willing to part with Steve Rogers, but there are many where I can get rid of Wolverine. We'll see how it goes.
REALLY hoping that the "chases" keep the rarity scheme of GSX.
Based on the past tradition of keeping "real" chases secret until the release, that looks likely. Which is fine with me, but at that point I wonder why they aren't just made super rares. The rarity breakdown ends up being similar.

The talk of Super Rares in Captain America reminds me of when Nightcrawler was released in Clobberin' Time.
took me 5 years to get him.
Unlike me who pulled three of him the week CT was released. I initially thought he was the Unique that was super easy to get like Ringmaster was in SI. I traded my extras away for practically NOTHING. Talk about kicking myself.

We're down to Controller, Puppet Master, Nightmare, Constrictor and Boomerang that need remakes. It's almost completely replaced at this point.
I think you left Hobgoblin off that list. In fact, Hobgoblin should probably be at the top of it.

How come you didn't wish anyone a happy 4th of July? !?!?
Well its good to know that I won't have to shell out any cash, if WL Hal is indeed going for about that much. Those villains are must haves for me, and since its my spare WL Hal, I don't mind parting with it if I can get all 4 of those SRs.
I didn't get much time on the computer yesterday. Still feeling under the weather. So I'll do it now.
Happy Belated 4th of July to all my American pals.
