We have far too many Remakes if you look how many Unmade Characters we have
And as someone said befor this Set should have been named War of Light and postponed for a real anniversary set.
I like the set as a Lantern based set (I'm a huge GL-Fan) and it has a lot of great characters with great Dials but it isn't exactly what I hoped for in a set called DC75

Judging by your list, it's because you had the completely unreasonable belief that the set would ignore about 25 years worth of DC's history, as a few other people also seemed to think the set should do.
I'm willing to grant that anything made in the past 5-10 years really hasn't been around long enough to know if it will last in the long run, but anything pre-2000 should be included in a DC 75th Anniversary set. The Iron Age and Bronze Age should have roughly equal billing with the Golden Age and Silver Age.
Fact: Bane and Doomsday are two of the absolutely most thematic pieces in the entire set.
I'm in Providence! I've been out of the hobby, but I'm looking for Saturday gaming. Send me a PM if you know the down-low!
I just realized... no real Legion of Super Heroes piece in this set. And no, Connor Kent doesn't count. I'm talking about Star Boy/Starman, Invisible Kid, even new remakes of the big three... something LSH...
They and the Rogues are sitting in the bar, weeping.
These were my guesses after the initial group of pictures was released:
10/14
Hal Jordan blue lantern
Superman modern
Wonder Woman modern
Flash
Superboy
Kid Flash
Donna Troy
Animal Man
Green Arrow
Ice
Fire
Max Lord
Magog
Zoom
Hawk
Dove
Jade
Obsidian
Hawkman
Mera
Starfire
Cyborg
Raven
Batman Grayson
Red Robin
Batgirl Stephanie
Wonder Girl current costume
Edit (10/31):
Cheshire
Catman
Deadshot
I am super surprised that we got Aquaman and Osiris and did not get any of the other 5 BD figures...
Fact: Bane and Doomsday are two of the absolutely most thematic pieces in the entire set.
Absolutely, they are. But they are more or less the extent we get of non-Lantern "modern age" characters. Spread some of these lanterns out over another set -- or heck, make another collectors set with a map -- and there would have been room for one or two more Silver and Bronze/Modern Age pieces.
Heck, just take out the bloody Osiris remake (the only piece whose existence has ever actually made me angry) and put in something else. Max Lord, a new Catwoman, Kamandi, something actually significant, rather than a 100% unnecessary remake/reuse of a piece we got less than two months ago.
The Hal and Kyle remakes could have waited one more set, too. Or one of them could have been for FCBD, since the GL movie would be out around that time.
I don't want less modern characters in the set, but I would have liked more variety among them.

When it comes to Superman and Batman, Grant Morrison is nothing but a 50's cover band in a 70's psychedelic funk style.

Eh - Lanterns are the subtheme. I expected to see a bunch of them and I'm fine with them, too. All except Hal, who really didn't need another version this close to the Blackest Night starter.

Oh, I'm glad they've all been been made, but I think at least a couple could have been put off, so the Modern Age representation could be a little more diverse.

Generics - all of them sound great, even the Zamarons. Stoked about Dominators & Gorillas, wished I had Kobra or Cult of Blood minions to kick around, but can wait for them for later.
Secret Six: Ragdoll! Black Alice! Deadshot gets a great update, though I'm on the fence with his sculpt. Bane looks amazing - a worthy remake, unlike Doomsday, which felt like it was trying too hard. They came close with him, but as a one man army figure without range he's not there yet for me.
Golden Age stuff: Me likey. I'm glad they finally made Mr. T (vanilla) and the non shrinking Atom. I also enjoy the obscure (to me!) Sargon but wish they had a Zatanna/Zatara Duo, and a Zatara solo. That was always a big story I remember from the history of DC - a multi-title crossover before the big crossovers.
Beast Boy - finally got him right, and well done. Really an outstanding figure. I wish they had given him some Doom Patrol members to play with, as they sorely lack representation in Modern Age (and Golden Age as well).
Graduated Pogs! Mera! Det. Chimp! - The more pogs turned sculpts, the happier I am. I kind of hoped for Dolphin this time around as part of an Aquaman "sub" theme (and while he hasn't been done yet, the Titans villain Trident, as well!). Let's get those Challengers made!
A new Superboy This one's fine though I'd really like an original appearance Young Justice, like the FC X-Men. Cassie in her black wig, Impulse in original uniform, and maybe Robin on the Super Cycle (hello vehicle mechanic!)
Black Marvel family - Isis was overdue - and I'm actually cool with 2 versions of Osiris. I understand why many aren't - but it doesn't bother me so much because it gives me more build options.
Stuff I don't care much about but other people seem to be bothered with - repaints of BD figures. As long as the dials are different, I'm okay with variety and options when team building. It seems to be limited, so that's good.
Stuff I don't like - including remakes of decent figures for shock and awe factor or based on fan demand, or on White Lantern quotia but not necessarily because the figures NEEDED to be remade (Doomsday, Mongul, Ares, Green Arrow, Kyle Rayner, Hal Jordan, Wonder Woman, Superman etc.) I feel like they could have gotten a little more creative there.
