Wife REALLY wants them Heralds. With the writing and other stuff I'm trying to finish up for WizKids, plus work and such... Been a wee bit pressed for time lately. Things should kick loose a little after Friday.

(Friday's an important day, obviously. Things are changing in my Envoyhood [nothing bad]). Two and a half years of certain duties and I'm just crispy-fried. I'll still be involved, just in different ways and not with "Judge" attached to my titles when to be honest... I have little clue how to even play anymore, let alone run a game.

So yeah, I have zero chances of actually winning Galactamus, but I'd sure like to play as time allows. I could use my Foom and still lose. Heh.

Plus, you and I need to get together and hang out and stuff, man. The new MechWarrior stuff is up, ya know! I'd love some new people playing. I've been winning too much around here. Time to get some new blood to train me up for PAX. I have that challenge game with Jonas (JSaunders) and I'd like to actually be on my A-game.

Regarding Thurs, the question was asked previously about using LOSH and/or Avenger figs as part of team build, but I saw no answer. Was it allowed on Tuesday or not? We're battling for AW?

The game is unrestricted so...... yeah you can play the new figs.
As far as theme team special ability I'm gonna say no.
As far as the new rules, you can decide on a game to game basis. They are not yet in effect so, try them if you want, but you don't have to use them 'till next week.

Yes I got the new map, I had it at the last two games, but you didn't ask about it on tues.

I'm just now catching on with the whole "Herald" thing.

The way I understand it, once a week you enter a tournament (by buying boosters) and you get a free figure.

So, who is hosting this tournament, when is it, and how many boosters do you have to buy?

If I can't make the time to play in the tournament, can I just go buy the boosters and get the herald?

so once avengers is "legal" then waht about theme team ability?

I dont know if you all have but I think it should be tried at least once befroe we totally ignore it.

In a nutshell, you'll have to buy two boosters ($20) per event to score each of the "free" figs at your friendly neighborhood clix venue.

Whether or not you'll just be able to buy the "free" fig for the price of two boosters w/o playing in a tournament probably depends on your venue's judge. I read on the Wizkids site that each venue will receive 10 of each free fig (minimum) for distribution. We don't have 10 steady players at any venue, so there would be plenty to go around.

That sounds hopeful to me. But, just to clarify, I would like to buy the 2 boosters and get the Herald without playing in the tournament (ie, I do want the boosters). With work and coaching my kid's soccer team, time is a valuable commodity in my household.

Which venues that will be hosting these tournaments?

Hosehead's is Tuesdays.
Comic Oasis is Thursdays.
Kool Kollectables is Saturdays.
And I hear Dark Tower is going to be hosting as well. Mondays I think.
