In a 1970s story Batman was believed dead and many villains claimed to have done the deed;
Now that I think about it, didn't Batman of E-2 die in the 70's? Or was that the early 80's ? I know a Batman died in the early 60's, replaced by yet another Batman from another Earth.

Batman of Earth-Two died in Adventure Comics #462, 1979. The "death of Batman" story I referenced in my question was in Batman #'s 291-294, 1977; soon to be reprinted in the upcoming Strange Deaths of Batman TPB.

I'm not questioning your referance, I was just trying to remember the actual death of (E-2) Batman. That, and trying to remember the circumstances of "A" Batman's death in the early-mid 60's. All I remember is, the Batman died and was replaced by a Batman from another Earth. Which one died and which one replaced him. I read the story once, way back in the mid 1970's. That was part of a collection of comics my neighbor gave me that included original Fawcett comics that my mom tossed out before I had a chance to read all of them.
Thanks, glad you liked them! (How'd Phyla-Vell do in the tourney?)
Phlya was just on display, not competing. Majinmagog is our judge, so he was sitting back and taking it all in.

When our story opens, the Question is investigating an impossible locked-room murder mystery involving a midget and a 6'6"-tall call girl into heavy bondage. Don't worry, I'll explain later. It's all vitally relevant.

Well, good deal! I did a Drax for him too; we're negotiating some other commissions as well. (So when are you going to get some Custom Creator creations to bring to the board?)

When you stop embedding pornographic images of Amish people in your creations.
Considering how Kite-Man took over the board before getting confirmed that he was right, I see no reason why you can't do the same to him, since you're obviously right.

Yes, but I have more manners and respect for the rules and for my fellow posters than that.
Custom, I wouldn't hold it against you if you claimed the thread.

If JTR ever says something actually funny, I'll know the world is ending.
Aww... I'm sorry. It's just that things have been tense here in Africa while I'm on Safari. All these animals running around loose. Why, this very morning, I woke up and shot an Elephant in my pajamas. How he got into my pajamas I'll never know.
