____ The Doomslayer, the tavern near the port, rang out with the shouts and music of a great time. The place was packed, it had attracted every manner of pirate through the last couple of days, and they had made it their home. Stools lay in pieces on the floor, beer bottles had been smashed against the walls, and someone's underwear was stuck to the ceiling. It was pretty great.

____ Captain Cain was at the centre of it all. His big muscly arms held two kegs. His skin was covered in coarse white hair.

____ "This is ma kinda party!" Shouted the Captain. "Now listen up ye scallywags!" Everyone quieted down, all except two guys in the back. The Captain roared at them and whipped one of the kegs their way. It hit them and exploded, causing laughter to engulf the place.

____ "Soon we'll sail West, inta the Great Unknown, to find the cities of ol'! Plunder awaits us! Treasure!"

____ "Aye Aye, Captain!" Shouted the rest of the Doomslayer.

____ "An' you know what I realized? None of ya deserve it!"

____ Uneasy glances shot back and forth.

____ "Look at ya. Drinkin', when you should be workin' or practicing your skills. You lazy, no good, dirty pirates!"

____ "But sir, you're a no good dirty pirate too!"

____ "What did ya say to me!" The Captain roared. He grabbed the man who spoke, and threw him through a wall.

____ "That's messed up!" Shouted another.

____ "Talk not to me of blasphemy, man; I'd strike the sun if it insulted me." Said the Captain.

____ "Yeah? We'll maybe we'll build our own boat then, with blackjack and hookers. In fact, forget the boat!"

____ "Build this!"

____ And then the brawl started. The Captain tore through everyone in the Doomslayer, tossing them out windows and knocking them out with a huge punch. He swatted them like flies; even the bartender fled to alert the HCPD. In the end, Captain Cain and Ragnar stood in the middle of a room full of unconscious pirates, and they didn't even break a sweat.

____ "Screw you guys, we're going home."

____ The Cyttorak could probably be manned with two people, so they took the supplies they needed from the tavern, got on the Captain's boat and sailed West.

____ The arrest of Brickwall hit Detective Rand hard. First the Commissioner and now Wall too. It was up to him now to protect this city, and maintain the HCPD. But how? He wasn't trained for this kind of thing. Right now, all he could thing about was getting revenge on those that ruined everything. He was going to find The Unbreakable Man, if it's the last thing he did.

____ He and Red were on patrol down near the gem market, searching for any illegal goods that might have come in from Dragon City, or enterprising pirates. He was hoping for something, anything that might remind him that he was a good officer. A trade bust, a mouthy swordswinger, anything. But the place was dry.

____ Red on the otherhand found Scion.

____ "Connor!" She called out to him. He was talking to a cyborg.

____ "Hey Red, glad you're here. This is Jonas." He gestured toward the green robotic looking figure. "He says that Providence is real, or at least it used to be. It's there Red, we have to find it."

____ "Why?" She raised an eyebrow. "What's with your fascination with this place? Why do you care?"

____ He shrugged. "It's a lost city, don't you want to know what happened to it?"

____ "No, I don't really care. This whole world is new to us, I want to settle down somewhere and start something. I'm tired of being lost. Besides, Captain Cain took off last night. So how do you expect to get there?"

____ Scion tried to say something back, but a cough overtook him.

____ "The virus..." Said the green cyborg. "You have it."

____ "It's just a cold," said Scion. Or at least he hoped it was.

____ "No. I had it once. Back when I was human, back before they infected me with it in Askan. The virus changed me. It's changing you."

____ "What virus?" Asked Red, confused. Then she realized that Scion had been keeping his real condition a secret.


____ They were interrupted by Detective Rand, who had quietly caught up to them.

____ "He's talking about the techno-organic virus, isn't he? This cyborg has it?"

____ The green cyborg tried to leave, but the detective grabbed his arm.

____ "I don't think so. I can't risk you infecting others with the Askan Disease. I'm hauling you off to a cell."

____ "Wait a second, you can't do that," said Scion. "He didn't do anything wrong." He tried to grab Jonas, but the detective was too fast, and the punch knocked the boy in blue back a few feet.

____ "Next time I'll put some strength into it, and you'll know why they call me Shadow Boxer."

____ "Crispus, what the fuuck."

____ "I have to protect this city!" Said the detective. "It's on my shoulders now. You can either join me, or not, but don't get in my way." And he walked off with his prisoner in tow.

____ Red ran her fingers along the grip of her pistol.

____ "No," said Scion. "I know another way."




____ In a back alley on the outskirts of the city, a figure had been grabbed and then stuffed into a refrigerator. Others looked for the figure all night, but couldn't find them, and eventually they gave up their search. The figure was popular, yet all they knew was that wherever they were was dark and cold. Like Canada.




____ Detective Rand paced back and forth in the HCPD, wondering what he should do next. Who was a threat? Who was going to further destroy the force? He had to think fast, that was he specialty afterall. Then he thought about The Unbreakable Man who got Brickwall fired, and spite filled him. Suddenly the glass doors of the HCPD opened.

____ "He's right over here," Red's voice rang out.

____ Editor-In-Chief John Jonah, Jr. walked through the door, and Rand's heart sank.

____ "No. Officer Montoya, what have you done?"

____ "The right thing. I hope..."

____ "Shadow Boxer?" Said John Jonah. "What a dumb name. The Iron Spirit sounded so much better, back when you were a merc for hire in Dragon City. Or did you think no one would find out? Hell, you're on the Emperor's most wanted list. You're finished Rand, pack your shlt and get out."


____ A realization hit Red in that moment, that everyone has their secrets. Even the law. But how was she supposed to learn what was right and what was wrong, when what was wrong was so often disguised as what was right?

Not a terrible night. I think that's gotta be the last HCPD member, and it sounds like either Ice found the SK or at least prevented them from taking somebody out.

I'm 90% positive that Space Jawa is the Serial killer. My action failed and I think I was one of the ones looking for the popular character last night. Ice can confirm if we were thinking along the same lines.

Question is can we lynch someone in the fridge?

I wouldn't mind hearing a claim from I_R, but he's not the last mafia.

I think we lynched Linkor when he was in the fridge.

But Ice said he JK's his targets, so the SK may have been trying to take him out.
