Very simply stated - I was willing to work with the town and die quietly and peacefully as the last threat. You guys want to lynch me instead - you lost my vote of confidence. So instead, when the night phase comes, I'll just take one of you out instead. What would have been a sure thing for the town now has become a game of risk and chance.
