I dont see it that much. Shimmer and Mammoth are same old suckage. Jinx is the same as before just a little cheaper. Dr Light is a step up but thats it as we ddint get one new member nor an upgrade to Pswimon...

Err... both Psimon and Gizmo are in the dials list thread with brand new and shiny dials

Movement: Ignores characters. Tiny Tinkerer: Gizmo can use the Flight ability. Give Gizmo a power action and place a light object from outside the game in an adjacent square. Insane Engineer: Give Gizmo a free action and remove an adjacent standard light object from the game. If that object was a light object, choose a standard attack power; if that object was a heavy object; choose a standard damage power. Friendly characters within 4 squares can use the chosen power this turn.

Psychic Shields: Psimon and adjacent friendly characters can't be targeted with Penetrating/Psychic Blast. Ultimate Control: Psimon can use Mind Control. When he does, modify his attack value by +2 and, if he targets more than one character, he is not dealt unavoidable damage. Sadistic Arrogance: Psimon can use Energy Shield/Deflection and Willpower.

Fearsome Five was pretty strong when passaporte ran them here years ago. Getting Jinx for cheaper is a plus, since the majority of remakes tend to cost more, and PC rarely comes cheaper than 40 points anymore. Old Psimon gets a boost from the new rules (he can still Outwit at 10 range)
The standout for the new dials is Gizmo. Lots of options he provides.

Heh I guess I saw Psimon as Psion....and Gizmo threw me as I was looking for Mikron o Mchilleguetty again lol...Also anjnoyed to see that Zookeeper is a SR...meaning the SR theme looks to be Prime's Titans....I will cry if Duela Dent is a chase
All in all this set has shockingly let me down with character choice one of the few sets I can say that about

The new Fearsome Five dials are all very good, or at least offer an improvement over their old versions (i.e., Shimmer).
However, I'm not convinced they're a great pick for a Season 7 team because of the need to upgrade several characters to access those new dials--e.g., Dr. Light, Mammoth, Psimon. (Gizmo and Jinx, however, are nice exceptions.) In particular, getting Dr. Light to his new Vet seems like a multi-season undertaking.

Zookeeper and the Prime Titans are apparently chases. Curious call. Not as cool as the idea that was floating around for sidekick duos (Wonder Woman/Wonder Girl, etc). But on my end, it'll be nice for a round of chases that won't be as hard to chase if I do want them.

And I just realzied with Riddler's Daughter and Duela that was Titans West not the LOD...so the only one I would want is Persuader ...ehh not as bad....although annoyed we still dont have a Duela and likely we will only get the Nu52 Jokers Daughter turd now
and yeah I am suprised duos were not teh chases this time around like in CW. Made so much sense (and gave me hope for Miss Martian in some form)
And Dr Light was not that hard to upgrade for me when I played the SS (although everyone else was lol)

Gizmo is a nice little upgrade for a pretty small cost increase, although not having the Perplex is a little disappointing, as that was also a nice little perk of the BatB version.
I think Mikron O Jeneus is still my favorite moment in a game at GENCON. In a BatB sealed where I didn't pull particularly well, I lured an opposing Black Flash to base Mikron along with Impulse (I figured he would want to double poison the HSSer), and my Holiday Killer. Beginning of my turn, I free actioned and gave all 3 of them poison and hit Black Flash for Poison x3. The guy was at first kind of dumbfounded, then asked the judge, then even the judge was like "That was a cool move".
Could anyone give me a sub turn for my game against the JSA Modern?
We have gotten through 6 turns, and Krueg hasn't taken a turn in 4 days, and it is a close game. Fairness be told, I'm behind, but I don't want to take a loss when I'm in prime position in a game that isn't even half over.
Game 6 is done, which means you'll have until the end of Thursday to get me your next squad. New PAC rules go into effect for that game.
Also, wanted to hit on a recurring problem that will probably never go away, but we can do some things to mitigate the factors.
SUBBING
As everyone has noticed, subbing has gone out of style. Pretty much, you have to ask twice to get a sub nowadays. I'm available to sub a couple of games each round, and dbauers did yeoman's work for as many games as he stepped up for this season. However, it's reached a point where I've played against some people three times this season. The league experience shouldn't wind up being you playing the same person all the time.
I'm doing what I can through rescheduling to move faux teams and stragglers off the schedule, but inevitably there's going to be unforeseen subbing needs. I wanted to remind people of the basic recommendations already in place to help you get your game going.
1) PM your opponent with your e-mail once your game goes up.
2) If you opponent hasn't shown up in two days since your set-up or last turn, request a sub immediately. Do not hesitate to do so.
3) Bumping a thread does no good. Don't bother with it. Either shoot your opponent a PM to get their attention or ask for a sub. Likewise, I'm finding the posts for "checking in" or "subscribing" at the beginning of the game are pretty much meaningless as well if the player isn't following that up with set-up or posting dials.
4) If you're in need of a sub, make sure dials are posted for your team and your opponent's team. Presumably, you have the time to post the dials since you've had to stand by idly waiting for your opponent. It's a deterrent to you getting a sub if someone goes to your thread and does not see any dials.
5) Propose an exchange. If you find someone that needs a sub, see if they'll sub for your game as well.
