i've been wondering about abilities like outwit, perplex, and probablitity control. they say that your character must be within 10 spaces of the target character. what i need to know is, do normal rules concerning ranged combat attacks apply as well, like stealth and elevated ground. or does the target need to be within 10 squares with no other restrictions? thanks.
10 squares and must be able to draw line of site...so a figure in stealth could not be outwitted or have perplex used on them by the opposing team, unless you fig. has the Superman TA or is copying it....
cool, so basically, as long as its a friendly character and is within 10 spaces, it can use the effects of your perplex or probability control? regardless of effects like stealth in hindering?
Originally posted by sniksder but if the figure is on your own team, it is generally allowed for you to use perplex and PC on your own stealth figure in hindering
That would be a house rule.
To Perplex/PC a friendly figure in stealth, the figure would need to turn off the stealth. (Otherwise the LOF is blocked. LOF doesn't care if the figure is friendly or opposing.) The stealth will remain off for the remainder of the turn. Which means that it is in effect at the beginning of the next player's turn.
This does open up the previously stealthed figure to opposing PC.
