Can someone with a wildcard TA use the Ultimate X-Men TA then use others during the game?

Can a flyer with HSS pick up another teammate that is adjacent before their move, then make an attack, continue their move, then put down the teammate at the end of the move?

Yes and yes.

You have to keep in mind that the wildcard figure cannot choose a new special enemy when reverting back to the Ultimate X-Men TA, but is stuck with the original choice.

While a figure is being taxied by a flying figure it is considered to be not on the map for the time of the move. I.E. you cannot use any of the powers of the carried figure during HSS move and attack action (no enhancement, no Hydra bonus, etc.).
