Im still sketchy about it. I need to know all you can and cant do.

soaring. hmmm well its pretty pointless what it is, is any time when your moving a figure you can you use one of your movmement spaces to go into our out of soaring. a soaring figure can only attack other soaring figures. but grounded figs can attack soaring figs if they have range. but you cut the range of the grounded fig in half. for example bullseye is going to shoot a soaring fig 6 spaces away he cant do that cause he has a range of 10 cut in half would be 5. so the only real advantage is making your figs harder to hit the only time i use this is with figs with hss.

It's lame. I've maybe used it once ever. It's used for HSS cheese.

It is considered a move action. You cannot take somebody with you. You cannot attack from soaring. You can be shot at, but only at half the range. If the attackers range is 10, you can only attack at 5. And you can only soar on outside maps. If you gain Earthbound or your flight is outwitted, you get one damage click and you go to hovering.

I believe I got everything.

You can attack Sentinels in soaring, and they can attack you.

Technically, 'flight' isn't outwitted, 'soaring' is outwitted.

Although you cannot affect grounded figures, you can still use Barrier and Smoke Cloud at your full range.

Also, with RS (or to a lesser extent Charge), you can sit out of attack range of many, but still within your range.

You can carry characters, but cannot END with them in Soaring.

Even though OUtwit is not an attack, can a soaring Braniac 5 outwit from soaring?

I thinks so.

Anyways there were a lot of good uses for soaring and LOF issues before the Indy rules came out. But now they are pretty much no more.

Magneto/Cosmic Boy can soar and TK a Running shot or Charging Soaring Flyer next to him into range of the opponent for a quick strike as a tactic.
