say, Firelord wants to throw down a barrier, does he have to have LOS to the first square? or can he just barrier up to 4 clear squares within range, even if it s through blocking terrain?

He must have line of site to the first square, and then the other 3 must be connecting / adjacent. Also only the first square needs to be within his range
