Has anyone tried to create a campaign around xmen legends?
Almost all of the pieces to do it are there, save for jubilee and magma who can be interchangeable with maybe shadowcat, polaris magik or others.
I wanted to do this to play with my brother, and had some ideas, but wanted to hear from you all.
I was thinking you keep your xmen team out to the side, picking four to begin each stage, and you can interchange them and heal them (if they don't get koed) after you defeat each boss. You might play three sub maps before you reach the boss, and can change out players after each sub map without healing anyone unti lyou defeat the boss. For like the Morlocks, you could stick them in there with Marrow, and say that Marrow couldn't take any damage until the others were defeated, though she could attack. For GRO soldiers, swat or hydra generics or others could be used along the way and the beginning when you are just wolverine.
Now that we have Shadow King, this is extrememly plausable. It would just be tedious and time consuming, but worth it for long afternoons or late nights when you are tired of just playing....
If I could pull it off, I would try similar notions for Avengers, FF, and maybe even the more prominant heros and villians for an all star legends.
It's not a bad idea at all! Unfortunately, I don't own X-men legends, so I can't give you any specific help, but campaigns are a great way to spice up the game and play with pieces you might normally overlook. I guess for this campaign in particular you'll want a Sentinel if you don't already have one. Good luck!
thanks! ya, my multiple sentinels will play a major role in accordance with the game. If you have a console, you should get legends. it's awesome. well worth the money.
I love X-men Legends! It wasn't a truly spectacular game, but for X-men fans, there's nothing better.
The only problem is that some of the bosses were people like Blob or Toad. Four X-men (even rookies) are easile going to take down either of those guys (even the vets).
Also, even though we now have both Prof. X and Shadow King, you may want to hold off on using them to represent X-men Legends. The fought on the Psychic Plane, so they were both a lot more powerful. Just pick two REALLY good characters to represent them. U Thor as the Prof and U Loki as the Shadow King would be pretty cool (give shadow king some shadow minions to make up the point differance).
Edit: one way to make the bosses tougher: Use the Vet version, as soon as that is KO'ed, replace him with the Exp. version. If that gets KO'ed, replace with the Rook, if they KO the Rook, they beat the stage.
