Live Coverage of Team RealmWorx in LA

Wizard World LA, the first convention to host a HeroClix Invitational Event, begins today. Team RealmWorx is on site...competing today in the Battle of Dark Phoenix - A 600 point Marvel Constructed Event. Saturday is the sealed play round of the Invitational Event proper...Sunday is the finals where the regional winners will meet the top 16 from Saturday...those that don't make the cut will be playing a sealed Dark Phoenix event.

UPDATE: Just spoke with Dave/Bubblehead, the connection was a little sketchy, but it sounds like at least one team member is still in the hunt for Dark Phoenix. Dark Phoenix, if you are buying her and not winning her, is $30. The Apocalypse Dragon is $75. To get the free Nova you need to spend only $50. PLUS - they are GIVING AWAY Statesmen figs with purchases. Boo-yah!!!

UPDATE: Results are starting to come in from the prelims today. croloris and DOOM's Medic are both Regional Champs, so they got to sit out today. The sealed portion consisted of 3 boosters of Unleashed, field your best 300 point team. negativsteve placed 7th with u Shazam, r Raven, v Hawkgirl, and e DEO Agent. mola ram placed 15th with v Black Adam, v Dead Shot, v Brainiac Five, and e Gotah Undercover. Bubblehead took the 22nd slot with e Deadshot, v Black Adam, r Brainiac Five, and r Raven. ro_gan pulled the 20th spot with u Nubia, v Cyborg, r Black Adam, and v Brainiac Five. silentspy took 17th with v Gotham Undercover, r Dr. Fate, v Supergirl, r Jesse Quick. I'm still waiting on results for the other two team members. The top 16 from today play tomorrow...but if anyone drops, they will be taking alternates in order...so silentspy will make the cut if anyone drops tomorrow. Word is there were no less than THREE KC Superman figures in the tournament...Last I heard everyone was unwinding with a 16 player Dark Phoenix battle royal...16 Dark Phoenix's on 3 maps...

Exactly how much is Phoenix going to be? The Fig isn't near the size of Big G(I don't think). I had thought she was Sentinal sizzed, and would run like $40 or $50. Is she $75? Cuz on Ebay, going rate is $200+.

If I heard right, sylentspy at least was still in it...this was about an hour ago...and I don't know if anyone else from the team was playing still in that or not. Sounds like a few of the guys are warming up by playing in Battle Royals...very nice.

I think the lottery system is in affect for Dark Phoenix...didn't get the impression she was TOO hard to come by, but hopefully some of the team members will be posting later and can clear that up.
