Okay, just a quick clarification about Fastball Special and damage done to the target figure.
Fastball Special says:
"Give both characters a power action when they are adjacent: The first character must have Super Strength and the second character must be grounded and have Toughness and may not have a damage value higher then 3. The first character makes a ranged combat attack against a single opposing target within 6 squares. Place the second character in any square adjacent to the target to which the first character has clear line of fire. If the attack succeeds, the second character deals the damage. Remove the Fastball Special from the game after the attack resolves."
"The damage" refers to the character's base damage, plus the +1 on the card, plus any other modifiers, right?
So if Colossus throws R Wolverine (IC) and Wolverine hits, he does his base 2 + 1 damage from the card + any other modifiers.
Originally posted by Teron_Gorfiend Yes, Colossus rolls to hit and its wolverine's damage that is used. Although I think you can use BFC with fastball special, i'm not sure.
BCF cannot be used with Fastball Special.
Fastball Special requires a power action to be given to both characters involved. BCF requires a close combat action given during the action. Since no close combat action is given, BCF cannot be used.
On this note, if I use wolverine as the above scenario suggests, and perplex his bas AV up by 3 before being tossed, I can still toss Wolvie...correct?
Also, does the card count as part of the rule of three? Or...are cards like object tokens in that they are not included in the rule of 3? Thus, wolvie could do FOUR if tossed...
I'm just thinking this may be useful against figs like KC GL, in which basing with a BCF character is a little more difficult.

I'm not sure why you would Perplex Wolverine's attack value. His attack value isn't being used, the thrower's attack value is being used.
(Note if you want to Perplex his damage value, Wolverine cannot have a damage value higher than 3 and still use the Feat.)

The Feat modifiers are subject to the Rule of 3.

If Wolverine has a damage value of 3 he would deal 4 damage with Fastball Special. (3 damage value +1 damage value from the Feat.)
