“Wow. This is getting bad. Real bad.” Robin said rather shaken

“That’s why we’ve got to figure out who’s doing this. These attacks seem too random and we can’t guard every off duty police officer in Gotham.” Batman said in his usual emotionless demeanor while typing away at his computer.

Batgirl just stared over the railing of the bat cave down into the seemingly bottomless pit by the bat mobile. Obviously worried about her father Police Commissioner Gordon.

“There.” Batman said pointing to a map on the screen

“There what?” Robin said confused.

“When all of the victims homes are triangulated that is where he has to of been. This assailant uses top of the line weapons with some of the newest technology on the market. Backed by the Penguin this warehouse is the only place near all the crimes to pick up and recharge such technology.“ Batman said standing up and coolly walking towards the car. “Call Canary we’ll need backup.”

“The Penguin is there himself…” Batman said using binoculars to look through the windows “They seem to be jointly backed by Lexcorp. Some of his merchandise is in their including some top of the line battle suits that would be nearly impossible to steal. And even if he could steal them I doubt the penguin has anyone on his payroll that could operate or teach others how to operate that machinery. ”

“Sounds like you can use backup then” Spoiler said from behind them. Batman just looked up and gave her a stare that would intimidate Superman.

“I told you I don’t want you involved in crime fighting. Go Away.”

“No way!”

Batman squinted at her , he looked even more intimidating then before but spoiler showed no signs of backing down. Batman eventually just turned and looked back through the binoculars at the guards inside.

“Stay down and away from trouble.”

*meanwhile Inside*

“Here you go boss. He bought some top of the line equipment. Not too much had a lot of his own but he bought a lot of info off us about the local police and anything we had on the justice league” The arms dealer said handing the penguin a briefcase.

“Excellent, excellent work… We’re making a killing!” Penguin said happily.

“Where is this client I am supposed to meet?” Shiva said impatiently.

“Just wait, just wait my dear… he’s got something... to take care first.” The penguin slyly replied.

“This deal better be as big as you say bird”

“It will, it will my dear, just make sure you two remember my finders fee.” The penguin said sitting down on a couch in the office.

The villains will set up at the positions below. The heroes can set up anywhere on the outside of the building. The villains won’t react until one of them get someone in LOS within 10 spaces, one of them is attacked or one of the Bat allies enter the warehouse.

Batman and Allies can set up anywhere on the outside of the warehouse. (Even right next to a guard, Batman is a stealthy one you know.) Batman also gets the first move.

Since neither of use have SS or TK I’ll let you have the extra HO

The Dark Knight tersely issued instructiosn to his squad over the secure Bat-comlink. He had sent Spoiler and Black Canary across the facility in the hope that they'd simply be able to hold down that section and not hinder him and Robin. "Fast and silent," he said soberly, aware that his allies had managed to sneak up on two of the security personnel standing guard.

Spoiler felt her adrenalin level rising. As determined as she was to help, she was still fairly new to costumed crimefighting. It could be unpredictable and extremely dangerous, she knew, but she was driven. She and Black Canary had approached the entrance to the warehouse surreptitiously and were now close enough to hear the rasping breath of a security guard just inside. She thought about what Batman had said about the battlesuits and realized that they were up against an opponent of impressive means.

Black Canary sensed the tension in her new partner. She whispered, "Follow my lead," and ripped the door to the warehouse open. The security guard's rasping breath came to a halt as her eyes and mouth opened wide in surprise. Black Canary stepped in, turn and spun in with a textbook kick. The guard buckled at the blow to her midsection, gasping for air.

Spoiler was inspired by her female friends' heroics and assaulted the guard, as well. A well-placed uppercut should take her out, she thought, but as she stepped in, the door snapped back on its hydraulics and slammed her into the wall. Spoiler had hurt herself.

Batman had to suppress his instinct to roll his eyes. He hoped the presence of the novice Spoiler wouldn't distract him from the deeds at hand...

OOps, one thing i sort of forgot: Batman's Stunning Blow. Since your point total is so close to mine w/o/ the feat, i'll assume Batman doesn't have it at his disposal...

If you want stunning blow just consider a V Lackey at A10. I had him in the original villian build but removed him for when you didn't opt for it. He wouldn't move this turn either way so it works.

And I gotta say mike if it was an award i'd put you in for "Most Story Accurate Critical Miss Ever" works perfectly.

"Intruders!" The security goon shouted clearly hurt by Black Canary's attack.

"Huh" The other guard said turning around at the intruders

"What?!" Penguin said... Go go! Get them!

"Not for free" Lady Shiva said...

"Blast you! Fine fine! I'll pay you whatever just make sure to get the intruders! You two quit standing around put on the new equipment and go!"

Naw, i'll pass on the Stunning Blow, mostly because we've already gotten under way.

It occurred to me as i was brushing my teeth this morning (can you say obsessing?) that i'd forgotten to note the (-2) on Mary Todd in the RECAP, but you caught it; thanks.

Thanks, too, for the compliment on my story. It just turned out that way as i was typing. :-)

My move will come later; hectic morning here.

The Dark Knight felt the need to take matters into his own hand, particularly after Spoiler's gaffe. He had seen the Penguin through his binoculars before they approached the warehouse, but Lady Shiva had -- typically -- remained hidden. Her appearance here meant that more significant figures were involved in this scheme and the murders of the police officers; she was not only one of Ra's al-Ghul's associates, but also an assassin -- an extremely expensive one. He hurled a batarang at the guard blocking their path, and it struck her arm solidly just as she was aiming her firearm. "Now, Batgirl, your turn," he said earnestly.

Batgirl also whipped out a batarang and slung it expertly at the guard. It sliced through the air with an audible >whoosh< and hit the guard right in the trachea. Batgirl allowed herself a slight smile as she thought, "Robin couldn't have done batter." The guard slumped to the ground into unconsciousness clasping at her throat. Robin thought to himself, "Well done, Batgirl; now i can get in there!"

On the other side of the warehouse, Black Canary avoided the wounded guard's blow easily and paused, worried about her new partner's accident. "Spoiler! Are you alright?" The young woman raised her head and nodded to Black Canary, probably too embarrassed to speak at the moment.

"what!" Penguin said watching the video camera's in the wharehouse "The other side t...." He stopped short as he saw the object that felled the guard.

"Shiva can hold off the others, you three investigate the other disturbance"

"Now without you" Cheshire said "don't want you sneaking off and stiffing us our fee"

"Very well..." he said and with one gesture they all flew off... Penguin landed and saw Robin

"overhear flank him from behind."

The second suited man through cheshire who ran out and right infront of Batman and Batgirl. She assumed a fighting position and waited quitly.

i just realized that Batman R does not have a 10AV but rather only a 9AV -- which means that he missed Martha. I apologize profusely for this error; i must have been looking at his Speed of 10.
If we accept that Batgirl's roll of 9 hit Martha for 2 damage, then Martha is still at F7 and -2.

I'm very sorry. I hope this didn't affect your last move too much. Boy, do i feel stupid. And the cool narrative is screwed up, too....

nah let the move stand. I must just be lookin at the wrong piece for penguin. Didn't use the extra move anyway so nothings harmed.

and by the move... i mean my move. Not the Batman miss, and don't worry about the mistake though... i mean I made a similar one with Penguin.

Or rather the Batman Hit, which... eh it's just as you say in your last recap, Lets just say batman missed because he was distracted by Spoiler.

Batgirl had no more time to pat herself on the back for her nice batarang attack, for she started to cough uncontrollably. It caught Batman's attention, whose head turned quickly from her to their new assailant: a young Asian woman. She was clearly exuding some caustic component, for Batman's eyes, too, began to water and his throat became scratchy. He knew it was a matter to deal with immediately. He tried to throw a punch but his eyes were tearing, his senses reeling ... he missed.

Fortunately, it occurred to the Dark Knight that he had his mini-Batmasks in his utility belt. He quickly drew out two of them, handed one to Batgirl, and pushed his own mask to his face. Batgirl took a deep breath through the apparatus, clearly relieved, and took a defensive posture.

Spoiler was so angry that she actually yelled as she flew in toward the security guard. With a skillful kick, she landed her boot just above the guard's knee. The armed guard cried out in pain, which provided Spoiler with some recompense for her prior failure.

Cheshire caught the distracted batman with a kick to the mid section. Penguin however wasn't so lucky as Robin easily dodges the bullets he shot out of his umbrella
