Best Scenario Contest

Welcome to the first of what will hopefully be many cool online contests!

The concept of this contest is simple; come up with the best, coolest, most interesting scenario you can!

This contest will be posted in the HCRealms Theme Park, and run by Lealu!

Contest Rules:
(Please, please, please read all the rules before competing, I’d hate for you to be disqualified because you didn’t follow the proper format!)

* Scenarios must be designed to work in a regular tournament format, this means:
- 1 on 1 games
- 400 point teams
- 3 games total (these can be single or multi-game scenarios, but multi-games shouldn’t span more than 3 games.)
- Typical 50 minute rounds (with or without round limits, its up to you)
- Use Feats and BFC’s however you like!

* Use only normal HeroClix rules. Do not ‘redefine’ rules for your scenario (like saying Running Shot does something different, or changing the rules for Giant figures.) But feel free to restrict powers as you like (such as “no ‘XX’ power allowed.”)

* Post your Scenario in a new thread in the Theme Park forum.
- One entry per person! (That also means only 1 thread per person!)
- Put “ *Contest* ” somewhere in your thread title, so we know you want to be counted.
As other people read and comment on your scenario, you are welcome to modify it and post the revised version to that thread. (Intentional thread bumping will not be allowed either!)
This phase will last 1 week!

* At the end of the first week, Lealu will start a new thread, stickied at the top of the Theme Park, accepting nominations for the contest finals. You may nominate anyone else, but if you nominate yourself, you will need to be ‘seconded.’
A group of members (chosen by Lealu), will pick the 10 best scenarios from those nominations. This nomination period will last 1 week.

* The 10 best scenarios will be posted in a new Poll in the Theme Park.
Everyone on the board will have 1 week to vote.



What you can win!

There will be prizes for the top 3 scenarios!

First Place:
The winner will get a 1 year Platinum Subscription* to HCRealms and all the benefits that come with that subscription level.
The winning Scenario will be posted to the front page of the forum.
Judges signing up for events in September will be encouraged to run the HCRealms Scenario!

Second Place:
Second place will get a 1 year Diamond Subscription* to HCRealms!

Third Place:
Third Place will get a 6 month Gold Subscription, or a 2 level promotion to their current subscriber level for the remainder of their subscription.

Get those creative juices flowing, and head over to the Theme Park to post your entries!

*If you are already a subscriber, you will get either a higher subscriber level, or an extension to your current subscription, as decided on by the HCRealms staff.

Prizes have no cash value. Winners are decided by the HCRealms staff. All winning decisions are final. Anyone found passing off someone else’s old scenario as their own will be disqualified and possibly get warning points.

wow, a great way to get discussion at the realms going and a nice nod to everyone that works so hard already to come up with fun and challenging scenarios.

The entry phase will last for one week, starting today. Next Tuesday, July 12, I'll be putting up the stickied "nomination" thread. The nominations will last for a week, starting then. The following Tuesday, July 19, I'll be posting the top ten scenarios in a poll format, and voting will last for a week before the winner is announced.

I haven't gotten out for many tournies lately, but since when is a 400 point team considered to be a regular tournament format? Isn't 300 points the WK norm?

Can we make new powers?

I'm assuming HCRealms staff are disqualified from entering?
