It's slippery and.....it's overcosted.

Granted for characters with Defend or a defense value over 17, they already have a high cost. However, it is a nice addition for the Combat Reflexes.

Overcosted? I don't think so. You basically get anti-Plasticity with half of Plasticity. It's well rounded.

Seriously, this isn't a terrible card. It has its uses, they're just not so apparent. I swear, sometimes if it isn't easy, people think it's not worth it.

i guess what bugs me is sorta the price, but also the fact that i cant think of a lot of figs with combat reflexes but not leap/climb

im thinking its best use is on a KC GL.....itll make trying to pin him, and deny trickshot by basing him about pointless..especially if hes still on running shot..

Eh all he said was it was overcosted...and I happen to agree. That doesn't mean I won't use it or I hate it...it just means I think costs too much. I think 10 points would of been better personally.

I'v eseen a lot of cards. This is one of them.

And it's useless, in my opinion.

Not useless (the shake off/slippery combo rock pointed out can be quite nasty), but not the first thing that will come to mind when I need to spend 15 points on a character.

Really it is going to be a thinking piece, and they must have a reason for it, what it is I do not know. I try not to say this thing Stinks until I see the full set and really apply it. All I heard about torch when he was previewed was how much everyone hated him because of the poison, but now that the set is really out I have seen him really used tightly and often.

Guys give the set some time to come out before making a rash judgement and just lashing out at it, the negative undertones are really starting to bring people down. Let's have fun with this stuff first and then we can complain. Cool beans?

it seems kinda expensive for what it does, easier breakaway for 15pts? right...maybe it'll be good in some case i don't see it having much use though

I'd pay somewhere in the range of 5 points for it, but no big deal, in every set there a lot of duds, so far Icons had its share of usable stuff.

Well it does make pouncing on Leap/Climb characters when someone is basing you at the beginning of your turn easier...

Say Longshot with Pounce and Slippery, although it gets expensive, if you base him I can roll for breakaway, get it on everything but 1, and then pounce away.

Also I thought about putting it on Warlock...this will let you use your plasticity while ignoring other people's plasticity.

It also helps protect Invisible Girls or Women from people basing them to kill them with tons of poison.

Also I might add it to the new UBER powerful feat-pumped Diablo piece. Sure he can only use it for like one or two clicks but it could help.


I agree it is going to be a thinking piece...eh I don't feel I was complaining personally...I was just stating it seems like it cost too much. Just stating negatives with positives...I started finding uses for it right away and I stated in my post I plan to use it.

Shake Off and Slippery could be a nasty combo, but who can use it right now? The V Ghost Rider is all I can think of off the top of my head but now I am curious who I can put those two cards on. It should be fun to play.
