While thinking about what team I'm going to play in a tournament this Saturday, I realized that I've used the Taunt card in virtually every tournament I've played in and in most of my just-for-fun games since the card became avaiable.

I'm addicted to Taunt. I can't not use it. For no particularly rational reason at all, I love the whole idea of the card. I love coming up with stupid off-the-cuff insults when I use the card. (I once had Doc Ock taunt Captain America into a blind rage by telling him "My movie was better than yours!").

So I'm using Taunt even when the points would be better spent in other ways.

I'm addicted to Taunt. I can't get enough. Soon, I'll be knocking over convenience stores to buy more Taunt cards. It's a vicious cycle.

Does anyone know if there's a Taunt rehab?

Hey that's awesome. Does it work for you? I've never actually seen it played in a game before. It honestly always seemed like a waste of points to me, I always think about it for theme teams but it's kind of like Fastball Special, it's seems like more trouble to pull off than it's worth.

I beleive there is a stunning blow clinic right down the street from here...

It can work really well in annoying the heck out of your opponent, but it's really more of a theme or just-for-the-heck-of-it card than usually making a big difference in the game.

Though if you give it to someone with a good defense or super senses, it can make your opponent waste an attack.

I've put Taunt on a Sentinel. I remember taunting an E MM Hulk who had a heavy object. He had to push to move next to the sentinel who captured him.

It was awesome.

Other than that, I can't remember ever using Taunt. I'd be interested in hearing other strats for taunt!

I've find the best use for Taunt is for forcing your opponent to push his valuable pieces to attack my scrubs. I've irritated the heck out of a bunch of people with Cameron Chase and Taunt. Who wants to waste a 4 or 5 damage attack on a 36 point piece with Impervious when my real threats are looming? (Of course, with Taunt, she's really 51 points, and whenever I realize that, I regret blowing that many points on her).

If you enjoy the use of the card, then sociatal norms telling you it's a waste of points are the problem.

If you really want to annoy your opponent, try using it with Abby Chase.

I like taunt on FF vet scarlet witch. The long range, re-rolling, stealth and seeing into stealth makes her potent. Plus she can get pretty raunchy with her gypsy taunts...

But at least I have my Taunt card. I can set it in the chair next to me when I'm alone at home tonight and mutter "You're my only friend. I don't need anyone else. I don't need..... anyone!! SOB! SOB!"

If taunt is wrong, I don't want to be right.

E Captain America (I.C.): Stealthed Taunter that frustrates your opponent after taking Mystics damage from T-Bolts AND frustrates further when they realise they've knocked Cap into Outwit.

See if it works in real life - hold the card in your hand, and taunt your neighbour until he tries to kill you. Then clock him with a shovel. When he wakes up, tied to a chair in your basement, you can be best friends.

I'M SO CONFUSED!!!!!

I prefer taunting with Ultimates V Black Widow. Carry her into stealth with a flying tk'er. Next turn have her taunt then tk her into stealth near your heavy hitters.

Hmm, that seems to be a good idea. I have to try that at some point. I usually run Ultimate Black Widow with no feats or Stunning Blow. I doubt I'll want 25 points of feats on her, so I'll have to mess around with it.

I've used Taunt with Mr Sinister before to decent effect. He can take a lot of punishment, plus with Shapechange, the target can really get owned by it. Throw Auto Regen on, and it's fun times (although insanely expensive at this point). I usually run a very strong 2nd attacker like Ultimates Hawkeye or my favorites, U Black Queen or LE Polaris to deal the damage while Sinister tanks the Taunted figure. Obviously not a tournament caliber plan, but I wasn't feeling like a serious game that day.

You inspired me to use Taunt tomorrow night...I am thinkin V Talia, but do you have any better suggestions for Taunt pieces?
