say, I have a strategy that may or may not work and not sure if I am doing this legally - here s the scenario -

my opponent declared that LE Sue Storm will give 19D to the wildcarders and some with F4 TA. (for example, Silver Sable, Black Cat, She-Hulk, Alicia Masters, Medusa, Spiral)

I have Con Artist, Mystique, Harley Quinn - all with perplex - on my team.

The questions are:

#1 - If I use Connie and Mystique to perplex down LE Sue Storm's 19D down to 17D - will it affect the others' D down to 17 also (meaning that Sable, She Hulk, Black Cat, others 19D down to 17D?) - legal or not legal?

#1.5 - as it relates to #1 scene - if it's legal then I still have Harley Quinn as another perplex - can I use her to perplex She-Hulk's down to 16D and get ready to attack her? Legal?

I really hope that it is legal so it will allow me to attack them much easily than attacking with their 19D much harder.

Also - another question -

#2 - Can I use Connie, Mystique, Quinn to perplex down one of them's 19D to 16D, instead of chasing down LE Sue Storm?

I need to figure out how to beat LE Sue Storm's F4 team! I had a hard time trying to figure out how to beat them withOUT using the Disbanded card.

No. The Marvel FAQ reworded alternate FF to specify that only *unmodified* values are shared. I'd provide the exact reference, but the Wizkids page seems to be down right now.

This means you can Perplex down Sue's DV as low as you want (within the rule of 3), but it will only affect Sue. Which could still be a good thing; if you KO her, that'll eliminate a lot of your problems.

No. The replacement FF DV would only take effect when She-Hulk is attacked. So if you Perplex down her DV before attacking, you are lowering her normal DV. Then when she is attacked, the shared FF DV will kick in, eliminating all the work you just did.

The best ways to get around the alternate FF TA are Pulse Wave (ignores powers and team abilities), Disbanded Battle Field Condition, and high AVs (Ultimate Thor is a great figure to go Sue hunting. With his high AV, Damage, Running Shot, and ability to ignore hindering terrain, there is no place she can hide!).

#1 - Not legal. While the card doesn't say it, it has been ruled that Fantastic Four shares the unmodified defense (and a good thing, too... played in a few friendly games where she'd ICWO it up to a 20 and share that...). Even if you perplexed it down by the maximum of 3, to an average defense of 16, every other figure able to claim her defense could claim the 19.

#1.5 - You can perplex She-Hulk's defense down, but it won't matter. She doesn't have Sue's defense until you declare an attack, at which time she take's Sue's unmodified 19, replacing her own perplexed down defense.

#2 - As with the above, you may perplex down any of the figures' defenses, but when the attack comes, their perplexed down defense will be replaced by Sue's unmodified. You'd be better off using all 3 perplexes on your best attacker, getting their attack up to a level where it has a reasonable shot at hitting a 19.

(Strategy wise, if they've got a medic in there, then you want to hunt down Alicia and/or the medic more than you want Sue, or else Sue's just going to borrow Alicia's 10 for a near guarantee of a successful support roll.)
