I was looking at proteted and thinking that it could be used offensively as well by preventing MC feedback damage.
All warfare is based on deception. Hence when able to attack we must seem unable. When we are near we must make the enemy believe we are far away when far away we must make him believe we are near. Feign disorder, and crush him. Sun Tzu
Grenady looks solid. Charge/Super-Strength remains a good combo. Then, once you've burned up the object, you can use his Plasticity/CCE combo to beat them down.
His defense also barely wavers at all.
And the Smoke Cloud, while the power still isn't good, is nice from a thematic standpoint. For those times when his armor is so banged up that some of his oil lines catch fire and start smoking on him.
Protected is cool. I think someone around here actually suggested something like that at some point. Of course, 8 points for one dose of it, plus it gives you an action, does limit it's usefullness. Mainly it'd only be really good if the enemy is going to deal 5-7 damage, and if, by negating it, you're in a position to retaliate massively (which would likely push yourself).
Let me run this by you folks to find out if this is how it works.
Ultron targets anbd successfully hits Protected Captain America. I have the option of using the feat to ignore the damage by taking a token. Then the feat goes bye-bye.
If so, pretty darn cool. Mostly, I'm just wanting to make sure when this is activated.
Following in the steps of Armor Piercing and ICWO, here's a feat I could see people using three or four of on a team, particularly if 400 point builds are the standard for the future big tourneys. Why not, especially in a time-limited format?

That is how I read it.

My only question is to make sure that Protected can still be used after the Impervious/Super-Senses roll fails.
And the LE is awesome. The scheme that they used for his first 3 clicks shows me that the days of Super Strength and CCE with Charge are over, and I couldn't be happier. He's much more cost efficient than he would have been 2 years ago, that's for sure

I'm pretty sure it can, since before the Imp/SS roll, there is no damage dealt. Once the roll is made and failed, then there's damage dealt, and Protected can kick in.
