“With these final improvements, you two will almost be as powerful as Amazo,” Dr. Ivo said to Fiddler as he worked on Icicle. They were in his lab, deep in the heart of the Kingpin’s lair. Here, he was free to perform all the experiments and research he had been refused in the outside world. His search for perfection and immortality – how could they have thought it immoral? How could the chance to live forever in a God-like form be evil? They were fools, each one of them.

*Soon,* he thought, soon my oldest wish will be a reality. With the financing I will receive from the Kingpin’s grand scheme, I will have the tools and the technology to perform my greatest work – to transfer human consciousness into the shell of a machine.* Then he could transfer his mind into Amazo and finally be immortal. Others laughed at his ideas. They wasted their time on serums and cell excitation. Even with the perfect human body, the flesh is still weak…but Amazo – he was perfection unending with power undreamt of. Death was reduced to a statistical impossibility; the invulnerability of superman and the powers of the justice league, no need to eat, no need to sleep, easily being able to self-repair – he would be the perfect being. With the addition of the Nanobots liberated from Garrick industries, he could even replicate something close enough to DNA to replicate a human body at the molecular level.

Creating the android Injustice Society had been a small price to pay. After all, he had needed to run through prototypes to work out the design flaws. Considering the fact that one of them appeared to be developing a self-actualizing loop that resembled sentience in a fashion, it was good that he had taken the time to work that problem out. Imagine, if he had tried to transfer his consciousness into Amazo and found a digital personality inside fighting him off! Each android had been a step closer to the goal of Amazo, and each was like a child to him. Perhaps he would take them with him when he transubstantiated.

He noticed the flashing beacon of the silent alarm with shock. Nobody could penetrate the citadel! Still, he was a man of science – best to be sensible. He dropped his tools, briefly grieving for not being able to reactivate Icicle, and grabbed a few other devices.

“Stop right there Ivo,” came Hawkman’s booming voice, echoing with authority as the JSA bust into his lab. So many of them! He couldn’t fend them off on his own, even with the Fiddler back to full capacity.

“No… not now… not so early,” Dr. Ivo said as he pressed a button and a wall of strange green glass came up between him and the Justice Society. He and the Fiddler ran through a hidden passage, leaving the deactivated Icicle behind. The JSA ran up to the strange glass, each attacking the barricade in their way. Black Adam used his fists, fuelled by the strength of Amon, and rammed repeatedly at the glass with blinding speed. The Hawks bashed their Thanagarian weapons against it, while Starman tried to cut through it with a non-stop barrage of cosmic energy. Even Alan Scott used his energy pistol on the glass, making sure to secure the Inertron Nanoinhibitor.

“This isn’t working” Black Adam said, frustrated. “This barrier seems to absorb and rechannel any force we use upon it – our own strikes make it stronger! We need more power…”

“Or simply a better way to channel the power we have,” replied Dr. Fate. “Keep fighting, but allow my magic to circumvent Ivo’s science.” Dr. Fate chanted a spell to himself and focused it at the glass. A circle seemed to appear and shine in the middle of the room, and paths of light from that circle stretched to the spots where the heroes were striking the wall. With every blow they landed, the light would get brighter on the contract point and travel to the circle until one final, coordinated strike from them all caused the wall to shatter from the circle outwards.

“Quickly,” Hawkman called, charging ahead. “We must stop him!”

Deeper into the lab, Dr. Ivo rushed out from the secret tunnel and ran to a storage containment unit. Quickly throwing a switch, he nearly prayed for speed before remembering that he didn’t believe in God. Instead, he prayed to his own skill. The red eyes glowed brightly in the darkness of the containment unit, and he knew his prayers were answered.

“It’s over,” Black Adam said as he entered the room. “Your heathen science has failed you.” Charging at Ivo, he pulled up short when the sleek, silver android stepped between them. Faster than he could prepare, Amazo swung a mighty fist and knocked Black Adam backward. Alan Scott came into the room in time to see Adam charge back after the android, and he flipped the switch to his jamming device.

Black Adam swung his fist at the android, but Amazo caught it and the two struggled in a nearly even match of strength until the android switched tactics, making use of the Flash’s speed and spinning around to create a vortex. Black Adam lost his leverage and was thrown back towards the Justice Society, but he stopped in mid air before colliding with anything.

“Lucky android. You will fail, however, as do all who oppose me.”

Scenario Notes:

 Alan Scott has the Inertron Nanoinhibitor. If KOED, the device is dropped in the square Alan Scott occupied. The object can be shut off by being picked up on a move action by a villain, or retrieved if picked up on a move action by a hero. If shut off, Amazo begins to regain his absorbing powers. He can then copy a Power and/or Value of the same slot of a current click of any hero on the board that he has LOS to.

Ex: Amazo is on his 8th click and Black Adam is on his 2rd Amazo could copy Adam’s HSS speed and keep his 10 movement; or he could copy his 8 movement and keep plasticity; or he could copy his 8 speed and HSS together.

These powers and stats replace the powers that were previously on the dial. You don't get HSS plus Plasticity, for instance.

 If Alan Scott KO's or captures Dr. Ivo, you get double the usual TXP.

Hmm, I think with a set map, the person that rolls the highest gets to choose sides first and goes first. If the map wasnt' set, then the highest init rolls gets to choose map, and the second player gets to choose side, and then the other person chooses the other side and goes first...I think....
