I can't remember the exact wording of the card, but I wanted to ask this before I forgot:
In the text, who is making the roll to see if the Outwit is successful? The Society member or the Outwitter? I'm curious just because of the Prob Control implications.

From the Society description:
When a character attempts to Outwit a power possessed by a member of this team, roll one six-sided die. On a result of 1-3, Outwit cannot be used by that character on this team member that turn.
Since it does not say "the character attempting to Outwit must roll" I would interpret this to mean that you, the defending character, must do the rolling. And since the Outwitting is occuring on your opponent's turn, you can't PC the roll (PC would only work on his/her rolls since it is his/her turn).
All friendly characters with the Injustice League team symbol have the following team ability instead of the Injustice League team ability:
When a character attempts to Outwit a power possessed by a member of this team, roll one six-sided die. On a result of 1-3, Outwit cannot be used by that character on this team member that turn.
You are trying to Outwit something on my figure using The Society. I roll to see if you can. If you were Outwitting and you were the one that had to roll, it would be worded differently... (...Outwit cannot be used by THIS character AGAINST THAT team member THIS turn.)
In my day, we didn't have Heroclix. If you were being attacked by Superman with a 3d dumpster, you just had to hope you could outrun him.
Thanks guys. I was hoping to pad E or V Queen Bee with some Prob Control and The Society instead of Fortitude, but now it might be too risky....
Queen Bee, The Society, Inspiring Command (for Barbara, Circe, and Grodd) and Armor Piercing with Scarlet Witch and Domino on a 400/500 team would have been pretty cool.
1) do you have to declair that you are using it before the attack?
2) If the attacking character is not at a straight line or exact diagonal, how does the character with CR get knocked back and who decides the direction they get knocked back?
Catering to the lowest common denominator since Feb 2003.

An interesting thread to ask these questions, but here goes:
1) No, since it as an optional power, it is always on unless you want it off. In fact, you technincally have to declare that you are not using it if you don't want to go flying away from your opponent's character when he/she/it damages your character.
2) Direction of knockback is always determined by the person who delivered said knockback, so your opponent could potentially send you character sailing over the edge, into a wall, or right into a pile of other opposing characters. Use with caution.

That was true under the old wording of CR, but not under the current wording.

So the player can decide if he/she wants the figure to suffer KB from the attack at any time prior to the figures dial actually being clicked. I could be wrong about the exact timing, maybe you can decide after clicking the figures dial, but I've never had anyone check the dial to see how KB damage would affect the figure before making the decision.

Yeah, and RCE also says "may". It is part of the optional wording (and, yes, I know that not all optional powers use the word may, but many do), but doesn't change the fact that, according to the rule book:
Powers are in effect when they appear in the stat slot. If a power is optional, it is assumed to be in effect during an action unless it is canceled at the beginning of that action. When a power is canceled, it is canceled until the end of that turn and resumes effect at the beginning of the next player’s turn.
