Playing in a 500 point tournament tomorrow, and came up with an idea, and want to make sure that it works the way I think it does.
I want to play Vet Wildfire, who has Energy Explosion throughout his dial. If I put Armor Piercing on him, does the AP also affect the characters adjacent to my target when using EE? And, assuming that it does, since Wildfire gets two attack targets, if I target two characters who are next to one another, does the EE do 2 damage to each (1 each for the being the target of the EE atack, 1 each for being adjacent to a character who was a target of EE)? And then, of course, does the AP mean that neither point can be reduced? This is how I'd interpret the combination of power/feat/# of attacks, but I want to be sure before I try it.
And - although this is the rules forum, not tactics! - would you think it worth it to add Trick Shot onto Wildfire, so that he can target a character in the middle of a huddle, to maximize damage?
Thanks, I appreciate any help and feedback on this I can get!

Yes

No. The hit damage and the splash damage are applied as a single source of damage, so AP only guarantees 1 point of damage. Otherwise even with splash damage EE couldn't harm anyone with Toughness on its own.

Actually, this is a rules answer - you can't add Trick Shot onto Wildfire because he doesn't have RCE or Plasticity anywhere on his dial.
I used (Armor Piercing) on Ultron -(Vet) whom has 3-arrows in a game a few weeks ago and he wrecked havoc in my opponents backyard . Combining (Energy-Explosion) and (Armor Piercing) is an effective tactic , especially if you're using Wildfire. He has the advantage of having (Running-Shot) on his dial.
