If my flier with Running Shot has his LOS blocked by his own non-flying teammate, can I call a running shot, pick up my teammate as if to taxi him, take the shot from where I stand and then put the teammate back where he was?

No. The attack part of Runningshot is done, when the movement is resolved. So you would have to put down your teammate before making your attack.

you can however, call runningshot,pickup your teammate and place him behind you or to the side, to give yourself a clear LOS

yes, it could. except he didnt say HSS, he said runningshot. If he had HSS, there would be no reason to pickup the teammate, he could simply run a circle around him

You could only pick up a character if you start your movement next to them. If you have to move to get next to them, then you can't pick them up.
I'm sure you already know this but since the original example only said that his teammate was blocking his LOF and not that he was adjacent to him, I thought I'd throw in my 2 cents.

Yeah, I was thinking of an adjacent blocking teammate..just forgot to type that part.
