A little question popped into me one day, a running shot requires a target to work, pulse wave is an attack that does not target anything, shouldn't they not work together?
Since in order to use running shot you must declare a target BUT pulse wave is a non targetting attack...... which is which? Can I use both or not? The rules can get conflicting if read many times
I was wondering the same thing last night using Black Bolt and re-reading the DRPAC it states that, using RS, the character must declare a valid target : (from DRPAC ) : Running Shot(optional) : [...] This character must declare a target to which it can draw a clear line of fire from the square it intends to end its move in order to use this power.
(from latest HC_General_Errata) : A character cannot use RS unless that character's final destination square allows it to draw clear line of fire to a target within range.
Since PW doesn't target characters ... isn't there a contradiction ?
But let's say you can use them together ... and that the only opposing character within the range of your RS+PW is Stealthed on HT you cannot
draw a clear LOF to him when activating RS (since PW didn't kick in yet the opposng character still possesses all its powers and abilities) so you cannot use RS ... Am I right ?
Because you are using Pulse Wave (which ignores powers and abilities), you CAN draw a clear line of fire to a stealthed figure. Just like if you were using the Superman Ally or Ultimates TA with RS to a stealthed figure.
