I got to thinking about how annoying an 18 that never drops is, and now DC's got a somewhat affordable one who can taxi around 8 non-carriers.

This seems ripe for abuse, but I'm too dense to figure out how. Any suggestions? I'm thinking a modified version of the tank, but with one of the ones being carried as the attacker.

Use pieces with low natural defenses and ESD or Combat Reflexs. A 20 is much more painfull than an 18. (I prefer the close combat method, myself. Much more aggressive).

Check out the gunboat strategy. Load up on Scourges or other cheap high attack long range characters.

What you have to do to counter that Ch'p nonsense is pick a U Ultimate Iron Man with Armor Piercing. That should do the trick.

Ch'p carryiing a boatload of poisoners with AP could be fun too. Maybe he could carry in a horde of Mockingbirds or OMACS. Those could be a nightmare.

Again, how is that abuse? Sounds like *use* to me.

Ka-Zar would be fun to play with him... as well as Mockingbird, Psylocke, Vet Swordsman, V Havok and then anyone w/ a low natural defense but good attack numbers like Blackfire. I don't think it will be "abusive" though given all the ways to counter it.

Have people forgotten the old school aggrivation of Rookie Invisible Girl? Only now he gets to fly everyone around thanks to the GL ability.

And remember that back in the day, many figures had a high attack and everyone was very sick of seeing her on a team. Now she flies, has running shot and can carry 8 non fliers...gah.

And that was prior to things like Isolation, Poor Teamwork, Disbanded, Crosswinds, Trick Shot and all the ways a team like this can be handled. And I never found Invisible Girl to be THAT annoying. No more annoying than Sue Storm w/ the alt-FF ta. You just kill the source...

Agreed, count me in with you two. I love it how people don't even have the figure and they're already complaining. (And YES, it's complaning folks, no matter how you color it.)

Following the trend, this is same ol' same ol'. Nothing really new and all this complaining about Ch'p being borken already???? C'mon.....we all know a TrickShot Hawkeye is going to natch this sucker if you don't Poor Teamwork, Isolate, or Disband the team. Then what do you have? The slowest moving tank this side of the Pecos!

I basically see two common anti-CH'p strategies, both have been mentioned already:

1) More Isolation in play.

2) Trick-Shot FF Hawkeye.

It is ridiculous that people are complaining about the little squirrel already!!! I will be using Ch'p, but even I can see the ways he can be knocked down in a game, he is no more unbeatable then any other figure in the game. Just use strategy and cards and take him out!!!
