On combat reflexes can I choose to take knocknack and no damage from
ranged combat attacks (Iknow I don't get the +2 defense). And can Pyschiic blast 'shoot thru' the combat reflexes for damage.
Just tried this power thie first time last knight, v spoiler w/aRMOR PIERCING VS V Jugernaut. he could never break away and she actually K'Oed him.

You can choose to take knockback, but you still have to take the damage from the attack, just not from the knockback.
Psychic blast only ignores damage reducers (Imp, Inv, Toughness). I don't think CRs knockback damage reduction qualifies.
Swordsman (Jacques) of the Thunderbolts Clan.
"Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.” (Galatians 5:26)
So Physic blast will 'hit' as will any other 'penetrating damage.
But a ordinary ranged attack would be treated the same as an ordinary
Close combat attack w/0 damage being delivered in exchange for the knockback?
So Pulse wave, Novablast, stunning blow, Physic blast 'cut thru', getting knock off a roof or thru a wal or thru a bush all 'cut' thru for damage.

I believe you've completely misread the text for Combat Reflexes. Combat Reflexes allows the figure to choose to take knockback from an attack. Wether or not knockback is taken, the attack WILL deal damage as per normal rules. Choosing to take knockback does NOT reduce the damage of the attack to 0.
Pulsewave ignores all powers, team abilities and feat cards. A figure wit Combat Reflexes could NOT choose to take knockback since the power is being ignored.
COMBAT REFLEXES
(optional): This character suffers knockback from any attack from which it takes damage. Knockback damage dealt to this character is reduced to 0.

Damage from attacks, be they close combat or ranged, is not knockback damage, snd therefore is not reduced by combat reflexes
I think I see my problem - the knockback damage is reduced to 0 *not* ordinary damage.
From Danger Room
COMBAT REFLEXES (OPTIONAL): Modify this character’s defense value by +2 against close combat attacks. This character may choose to be knocked back by any attack from which it takes damage. Knockback damage dealt to this character is reduced to 0.
Oh well, it still wouldn't have matter in the last game we played, spoiler was based against juggernaut and she was in a bush, he never hit her and he never broke away, wierdest thing I've ever saw in this game the guy couldn't roll a hit or a break away.
However it would be cruelly cool if CCR let you reduce the damage to 0 in favor of knockback
It would be cool - it they would assign a feat to CR that would allow damage from CLOSE combat be reduced to 0, but you could still be pinged from range.
But yes , I was having fantasies of armies of Valkyrie, puck and Wild child tying up my oppenents and being virtually unkillable .
