Life Model Decoy and Regeneration?

Life Model Decoy says you gain toughness but can't be healed, so my question is can you use regeneration to heal yourself when you are playing this card?

LMD does not give the figure Toughness, it does provide a similiar Damage Reducing effect, but it isn't Toughness.
