New Excalibur #15 - Rated 7 - Yea so we know Cain wa sa bad guy who did bad things in the past. In the end we aren't sure if he's decided to stay good or not. Unfortuantly all the other members aren't keen on him after hearing how bad he's been but Wisdom puts his foot down that Cain stays on the team. Black Knight leaves though... Decent read, better than average. If this series didn't have Nocturne in it I probably wouldn't read it.
Runaways #23 - Rated 9 - Seems Chase wants to exchange HIS life for Gerts. He leaves Nico with insturctions on hwo to deal with Victor should he go nuts, and takes her staff to get the evil influence away from her. Meanwhile, Molly starts hearing voices that tell her Chase needs help. She gathers the others and they find a trail of dino pee to follow so they can save Chase from making a mistake. Darn good series.
Wolverine Origin #10 - Rated 3 - . Jubes is very hurt and Wolvie surrenders to the soldiers if they will save her life. They shoot him in the head anyways. Wolvie wakes up chained up when a soldier comes up and pops claws and slices into him... calls Wolvie "dad". Oh God not another Wolvie son/clone/whatever. Wolvie then "dies" yea right. Oh yea and the art is carp.

Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man was decent enough. The fight between Spider-Man and the Vulture was the most realistic one there's ever been with the Vulture going down from a stroke. He later begs Spidey to kill him, which he nearly does to show Adrian how much he's willing to fight to live. If it wasn't for the somewhat interesting subplot with Ms. Arrow and evil Uncle Ben still lurking about, I'd consider dropping the title. Oh, and Peter David usually writes pretty well. That helps too.
Thunderbolts was a lot more entertaining then I expected. It starts with Norman Osborn recruiting Bullseye for the Thunderbolts and we get some nice flashbacks to Frank Miller era DD. Jack Flag's life is more or less in the toilet but he refuses to put the costume away because of what it stands for. After a look at his somewhat depressing life, we find out the Thunderbolts are being sent after him. Yeah, that's Bullseye, Venom, Radioactive Man, Songbird, Moonstone, and Swordsman against Jack Flag. Sounds fair. Also, the field leader will be Moonstone since Norman Osborn (who seems to be the government liaison for the team) likes how she messes with people heads. The commercial for the Thunderbolts action figures was hilarious as well. Overall a really fun read and I'm looking forward to the beating next issue.
Brock is not dead, rather he's lying in a hospital watching the ticks of his life wind down. But it was allude to somewhere that he might be back as Venom this year.
1/6th of the Brothers Prob. '19-'20 Season: 15-13(8 events) 2 wins, 2nd XDPS PR 9-7, 7th SOC
I loved the Thunderbolts action figure commercial too, Cap's "scream" got a gut laugh from me. Reminscent of the GI joe commercials of my childhood.
Can someone please tell me how Mac Gargan became Venom? I know Eddie died of cancer or something, but I am not clear at all.
I think, Eddie Brock sold Venom on ebay or something to some jerk who got himself killed by the symbiote because the symbiote thought he was a weak jerk.
Then he found his way to Gargan and offered to bond with him.
Ok.. so it wasn't Ebay he just sold it to that jerk's crimelord dad... but still... the rest is about right.

Here's what I don't get. They're mostly X-men. They should KNOW exactly who and what the Juggs of naught is all about by now. I mean, all they have to do is open a book, and they'd know just how freakin' horrible he once was. All they'd have to do is give Cykes a call up in New York, and they'd know what they're dealing with. I mean, is this really NEWS to them? That upset me so much when they turned their back on him when he's in the middle of an internal struggle, because they find out that he..... *gasp*.... killed a lot of people!!! OMIGOD, Cast him off the team!!! He only has stuff in common with....well......everyone on the team except for Dazzler and Nocturne.
I give this issue a big stinkin' 2

See, but they can't call Cykes in New York because he's been abducted by SWORD and is on his way to Breakworld (except Wolverine, who is currently both in space with Cyclops and fighting his long lost son in ... Japan, maybe?).
And, Chuck and his newly assembled Uncanny 'crew' are on their way to the Shiar homeworld. And, X-Factor is busy dealing with which Madrox dupe slept with which team member.
So, really, when you think about it, the New Excalibur team are the only 'functioning' X-Team right now and, uh, well ... I guess that was going somewhere but I forgot where.
I guess that would make this post sort of like the plot of Uncanny X-Men right now, eh?

Oh, don't forget that he's fighting Blade this week, too, after he gets captured, then breaks out due to the oh-so-typical "My powers are nullified, but my claws aren't a power", and SHIELD makes Blade an offer that's easily refuseable, but Blade stops fighting him because he suddenly remembers that way back when some guy that continually used the phrase "Bub" once saved him from a vampire, and it was probably Wolverine, so now Blade will work for SHIELD, even though he's being blatently disobedient, and oh yeah, an ordinary bullet stopped him.
Yeah...............I really wish they could start pumping out more books with the quality of Annihilation, because this garbage is making me seriously sick to my stomach.
