The question says it all. Mental Shields says "single opposing character", but Compel lets you target a friendly character instead. Is it possible to MC my 100+ pt friend and not take feedback damage?
Damn. Compel was just begging for abuse, but with all the feedback damage, its just not worth its weight to me. Hmm... I'll find some use for it.
My Marquee team was V Shazam, Mr Mind and Compel. Only used it once due to the 2 clix to Mr Mind and 1 to Shazam. But it was a game breaker, allowing me to escape a trap and deal out a huge hit, then clear Shazam and do it all again the next turn. Sweet card, hard to use.
If I'm not mistaken, I believe the damage is dealt to the Target, not the Controller. It counts as pushing damage on the target. No actual mention about whether there is Feedback damage on the controller. That would suck taking two, or more clicks of damage to make a friendly take another action after pushing.

The one click of pushing damage is of course dealt to the target, but you're still using Mind Control, and all other normal Mind Control rules still apply when using Compel.
So, if you Compel a figure costing more than 200 points (like V Shazam!) you'll take 2 points of feedback damage and your target will take one from Compel.

Actually its not. In a normal sealed, you still can not use AE's on the same team. The only time this is allowed is on Battle Royales where you can only play what you pull and being 1 fig less than the rest of your opponent usually means you've already lost.

I think you are mistaken...any sealed game allows play of anything pulled.

Just to show why you're right...
There is nothing in the Clix Tournament Rules that states you can use AE on the same team in sealed events (Section 3.0, section 4.0 for Draft). Section 5.2 is the only part that says that you CAN use AEs on the same team as part of a Battle Royal team.
the way around it!
AE is not something that is Protected from House Rules though, and specific scenarios could be constructed for their use together, as long as this was specifically stated in the event description.
I read those rules as well, and think that Lofcutus is correct .. some people are going to agree with this , while others are not .. but in the end, it is up to the judge at each event to choose
