So I was thinking about our new Shazam pieces and how to most efficiently activate him. Suddenly I thought wait a second, Double Time! You get to move 2 x your speed and then take a click of damage if you're not a transporter. Then I was sad for a moment realizing that one needs a boot symbol or transporter as pre-req. for the feat. Undaunted I decided to read the rules of earthbound a little more closely and behold; earthbound gives the figure boot symbol when it appears on the dial.
My question: is that sufficient to give Shazam the feat?
Yep. Use it once and knock yourself right off that activation click without spending two turns to do it. Can't keep using the feat after that point, but it's kind of served its purpose by then, no?

*hit Billy for two, Billy transforms into Captain Marvel again, madder than before. I'm pushed and he's clear*
Another option for JSA teams (totally off the point of the question at this point) is to give Black Adam Darkness Within. It's Thematic, Helps Him later in the game, deals extra damage, and may also help if you decide to bring along an Hourman.

I used darkness within to activate his vet. It was nasty Man of Steel hypersonic smashed vet Darseid with a dumpster while carrying Billy and darknessed him.

My first question was whether I want to spend the 5 points to bring him into battle on turn 3 rather than turn 4 (assuming you don't foolishly push off that first sweet click). I see lots of uses for 5 points *ahem*Lucky Break*ahem* for the rest of my force.
But then those re-activation clicks make double-time worth it, IMHO.

That isn't a legal move. Darkness Within requires an adjacent character to deal the damage. Billy isn't adjacent if Superman is carrying him during a HSS attack; carried figures are not on the board during a move, and the HSS attack occurs during the move.
Nice try, though.
