I'm pretty sure you cant,I know you can share the defense with a charecter and that charecter can ICWO it up(like sue sharing a 19 and then oracling it to a 20 after an action), but I think these abilitys work like defend which is the unmodified defense of the charecter that is lending the defense.
So if increase my defense via Oracle can I share the new defense?
There is no mechanic in this game that allows you to share a modified value. You could increase Sue's DV, but she would only share her printed value.

No you can't.
Replacement values take effect at the time of the attack (during your opponent's turn). ICWO takes effect when give the character is given an action (during your turn). If you were to ICWO up The Thing's DV to 18, and then replace it with Sue's 19, the entire ICWOed DV would be replaced by Sue's 19.

I disagree...and will look into this some more.
The Alt FF TA states that you can share you DV...not unmodified...simply DV.
So if Sue moves and she has ICwO you can choose to up her DV by one. Thus her DV is now 20. And according to the ALT FF TA she can now share that DV.

Respect is a given, only disrespect can be earned.
The rule of thumb is "Modify then replace". If you ICwO Sue's DV up she can now share, via the Alt FF TA, her now higher DV.
Now Defend stipulates "Unmodified DV" so ICwO there.
Like Quebbster said, there's errata for AFF which states the unmodified defense.
As for the rule of thumb, you've got that backwards. The rule of thumb is "Replace, then modify." The important thing to note is that this rule of thumb is only applied to a situation where botha replacement and a modifier are being applied at the exact same time.
With things like ICwO and Perplex, the modifier is given well before the replacements. They have already been in place when the replacement happens. This means that the replacement overrides the base and its modifiers.
Now, for something like the -2 to attack on a transporter attack, that happens art the time of attack, just like a Batman Enemy. So a BE transporter could make its attack next to another BE with an 11 attack. In this case, since things are happening at the same time, the "replace, then modify" rule will be in effect. You would replace the attack with 11, then you would modify it by -2.

Sorta like Batman Enemy...if Joker ICwO's his AV from an 11 to a 12 he can now share that 12 with an adjacent Bat Enemy.

Actually, there is one mechanic that requires you to share a modified value (so to speak)*... the special JSA TA rules for the 1200 point incarnation of Spectre.
OK, so its not game-breaking but it does exist.
This is the only exception* to that statement at the present time, however. :speechles
BoT
* Before I get too beat up ... the actual Spectre rules state it is not a modifier, but the glossary says otherwise... :knockedou

Nope. That's Unmodified on those, too.
Well dang...I am wrong yet again.
