Just wondering how to best utilize this card....

The two best candidates I've come up with so far are V Doc Ock (Clobberin' Time) and V Electro (Sinister) mercenaried to Sin. Syn. Both are significantly better than their experienced versions and since you have to be adjacent anyway....

V Deathstroke, to whatever. 10 av or 17 def is always helpful, and with Ult. you can use his outwit on stealth. And his cheap cost means he fits most everywhere.

Specifically nice with V Scarlet Witch for the low cost Prob/Outwit trouble making.

Really the only TAs to Mercenary that would be truly useful are TAs that already require adjcency. SinSyn, Defenders, JSA, Bat Enemy, etc.

Squadron Supreme would be a great one. But can you Mercenary to ATAs?

E Antman for Defenders and any of the Sinister Bullseye s for SinSyn

no, you can't use the ata,... but you are right, it really doesn't matter what fig you use just the ta,.... like you said SinSyn, Defenders, JSA, Bat Enemy are the teams you want

The rookie All-New Atom would make an awesome JSA member. Seriously, 24 points (plus the Mercenary feat) to give your JSA members 18 defence? Yes please! You could use the E Ant-Man from Supernova for the same thing plus Perplex, but he costs a lot more (66 points) and the rookie can Thunderbolts the Defenders TA a little more easily (providing Outwit instead of Perplex).

From the 2099 set, Hulk, Ghost Rider and Ravage all start with an 18 defence (19 in the case of the Hulk!) and would make decent Defenders. Hulk is kinda tricky to use considering that you can't carry him though.

EV Firelord would make an evil Sinister Syndicate or Defenders member, if you need a reason to make people hate him again.

Rookie Hawk (Hypertime) could be a good Sinister Syndicate/Batman Enemy once you get him off his activation click. Ninja suit Wolverine (Infinity Challenge unique) might be good for this - starting 12 AV for 64 points - if you have some of the pricier members.

Any low-cost character could be used to give Outwit to Superman Enemies - rookie Dr. Mid-Nite or rookie Lockjaw, for example, depending on whether your SE is a flyer or not.

I tried Angstrom Levy with Mercenary (for Injustice League) and it was fun. Somewhat themed too, as he can move through different dimensions.

Black Bolt adjacent to (Ultimates) Thor is another long range stealth killer.

Veteran Red Tornado to be JSA and thus thematic in the end. Also, the NGN LE Wonder Woman is a great figure that I think would benefit from MERCENARY.

Lockjaw and Sentinel can both use the Mercenary feat card to Batman Enemy and are able to carry Icons V The Joker.

Not sure of a specific team they would do best on (maybe Batman Enemy or Suicide Squad?), but the father-daughter duo of Deathstroke and Ravager are perfect pieces to Mercenary. It isn't hard to find a higher point character with a TA they can put to good use.

Next tourney, I am going to play Superskrull. LE Symbiote will have Merc (to Skrull TA) of course and Camoflage.

The Symbiote will be Superskrull's blocking terrain meow and tie-up figure, and will be nearly impossible to hit with 17DV, Super-senses, Shapechange, Skrull TA, Stealth and Camoflage.
