I know they have FAQ's about this but they don't say if you can or can't do it, they just explain very vaguely how you can do things.
For example I have a question:
Can I roll to break away using a power action like Charge or Running Shot? And if I fail to break away and if the target next to me is a valid target, can I just make the attack to that target?
If anyone out there who is a judge or an envoy or just a rules buff can plz answer this question with a yes or a no and then explain why you can or can't do it, I would really appreciate it.
Yes, you can roll to break and use your Charge or Running Shot. If you fail, however, the figure gets a token and cannot take another action. They can still use Outwit or Perplex if they have them and have not used them yet. Hope that helps.

'The game used to be built around many fundamental rules. But there are a number of figures that fly in the face of those rules. Their powers are too all encompassing, and too cheap.' -MegaLotusMan
So you're saying I can't take the free action portion and attack the character that is adjacent to me???
Yes. You need to be able to break away in order to move and you need to be able to move to use the power. (If you do break away, you can always move 0 squares and just attack the figure you're next to, but there are few reasons to do this instead of just attacking the adjacent figure.)
TRADES. eBay.
An Admin told me that I'm "too smart" for Another Realm. I hold that as a standing order.
If a character occupying a square adjacent
to one or more opposing characters moves
as a result of being given a move action,
power action, or free action, that character
must attempt to break away, as shown in
Figure 9. Roll one d6. On a result of 1–3,
the character fails to break away and may
not move. The character’s action is over, and
the player places an action token on it. On a
result of 4–6, the character has succeeded in
breaking away from all opposing characters
adjacent to that character and may move.
Giant characters fail to break away only on
a result of 1 or 2.
Bolded the pertinent parts.
Anytime a figure would move, regardless of the type of action used (Note: some powers override the need for breakaway, as per the power), breakaway is required.
On a failed breakaway (normally 1-3), you action ends immediately.
How is the rules section (not even the FAQ) quoted by Psylockeslover vague?
Really, I am dying to hear this
Ummmm, because as my thread states it sometimes doesn't just give you a yes or a no, sometimes it goes into explaining what happens, and in what order, but it doesn't tell you yes or no!!!
Anyways, next question (by the way I am totally repping all the people who are giving me accurate responses) Four characters are all adjacent to each other, two enemies on one side and two allies on the other. My Black Panther has Outwit and I want to Outwit the enemy Superman's INV who is diagonally adjacent to him. Can I do this or would this be an invalid action because my line of fire would have to pass through the square in which 2 characters are adjacent to each other???

no, you can't outwit that character, your LOF is blocked by two figures
