Flame trail : When spitfire is given a move or power action, immediately after resolving the action she can use smoke cloud as a free action, but place hindering terrain markers only in squares that she moved thru or occupied that turn.
She has a movement of 9,8,7,7 does this mean that you can place hindering in all the squares she moved thru or just the 4 markers that smoke cloud gives you ?

The key here is:

Even though it is a free action, it is still a usage of the Smoke Cloud power as describe on the PAC. Of course, Flame Trail throws in some modifications (free action, used in the middle of movement, etc) to the power, but no mention is made of any change to the number of squares available to be used. Thus, she places 4 squares per the Smoke Cloud power description.
Not all special powers are winners I guess. And even though I like the iteration of Spitfire, that special power in my estimation is pretty lame. Course just voicing my opinion.
You'd think it would be similar to Toro's special power in that it could deal damage somehow based on the name of the power, but at least it's a free action that won't damage her.

She's going to move anyway, you might as well. It's not specifically useful, but it's not worthless.
And, hey, practically a built-in hindering bonus.

I was able to lock SR Quicksilver completely out of the late rounds of one game thanks to Spitfire's special power. It probably hasn't had many chances to shine in the last month given the Quicksilver most people were facing was the Ultimate version, plus the overall amount of that TA in Avengers.
