Yes and Yes... but you can't do both at the same time.
Not so, there is nothing in the description of Super Strength that prevents this from happening:

Using an object in close combat requires no specific action; it may be used in the attack. Since Charge grants a free close combat action after the move portion and Exploit Weakness is a close combat action, EW may be used as you said, but the object may also be used in conjunction with the EW to increase the damage you do. It's always been this way as far as I can remember... that's why Magog is so dangerous.

You can make close combat attacks with HSS and an object, yes. Exploit Weakness would not be allowed during a HSS action, however.
This is true; but, just to clarify, you cannot throw an object in a hss attack as that requires a ranged combat action (not an attack as granted by hss).
